Iโve lived in Bali for 4.5 years. 2020 was amazing but itโs gone downhill ever since. Canggu is massively over developed without any foresight. Foreign investors are buying every square meter for more poorly built concrete villas and clothing shops. There are plenty of great gyms, spas, and food but everything is so crowded and the quality of service has declined considerably. Being in the gym in the day time is not enjoyable with all the insufferable fitness content creators and obnoxious entitled tourists who think they own the island. Traffic is constant and the noise of construction is unavoidable. There is a massive waste management crisis, huge landfills that sometimes catch fire and burn for weeks, regular power outages, and a water shortage in the south peninsula. Go to somewhere else. |
