For those of you who are working/worked full time on your side projects, where would you base yourself out of from Feb to May?

CDMX, Medellรญn, and Buenos Aires keep coming up and I've been to all 3 but I don't know how it is for solopreneurs or if I should do SE Asia instead.
Anyone here working with a US company as a contractor and resident of India. My company issued stock options when i joined as a contractor but now they seem to be stuck because of Indian laws. As per FEMA/RBI it is not allowed to hold stock options in foreign company as a contractor/sole proprietor. Anyone here dealt with something similar or exercised their vested amount?
Anyone here working with US companies as a contractor? Need some stock options advice. Full question in Taxes channel.
Hello! Im trying to do some stuff with SEO

Hello, thoughts on coworkings in Canggu? Is bwork worth the hype? I'm deciding between bwork and tropical nomad, any other good ones? I'll be stayin in Perenenan. I'm looking for some community events, dinners, weekend trips, not necessarily yoga etc, I have gym for that.
I'm a long-term member of Bwork. I can't imagine working from anywhere else but if you're in Pererenan and looking for a spot on a budget, I'd suggest Tribal
I did Tropical Nomad for one month while on the waitlist to get into Bwork. Never went back
brendanb in #bali 3d
Wifi sucks at Bwork for what you pay. But it is a nice space and they do some community events. I think itโ€™s the best in Canggu but way worse than Outpost in Ubud.
Haha yeah I'm writing this from Tribal right now! it's alright, but I would expect a little bit more community-wise
So you like bwork much more?
Why you like outpost so much? The internet much better there?
Iโ€™m a huge Bwork fan boy but I wonโ€™t argue if others donโ€™t like it
brendanb in #bali 3d
Itโ€™s not like gbps speed or anything but more reliable than bwork. Half of the call booths have drop-outs in bwork even using their network cables.

I liked Outpostโ€™s community managers as well. They used to do an afternoon tea chat I think every work day which was the best system for making friends Iโ€™ve ever seen at a coworking. And they would run regular events as well.
Bworks weekly afternoon tea is way too long and boring. I never really understand why Bwork has like 5 community managers but runs one event a week roughly.
Passport, DTAC, boarding pass for me.

My VISA wasnโ€™t cleared yet so I just went in on my passport.
Hundreds of cheap Airbnb listings.

Depends what area of BKK too, itโ€™s a massive city.

Iโ€™ve been here 12 days and walked 10 miles per day and have seen like .0001% of the city
Rio de Janeiro, if you earn in dollars / euros and enjoy jolly locals...
Philippines, if you're short on money and enjoy delicious foods (and a simple life).
Pretty sure I can'tenjoy that on a layover, sadly.
I guess I'll just check out some NASCAR stuff and return to the airport... ^^"
Haha. AFTER carnival for sure ๐Ÿคช
I love Rio
Moved to SPB in Sept. English speaking but learning RU. Would love to find some โ€˜cafe friendsโ€™ to help improve my language.
Board games, auto sports, ice skating, sauna are some of my interests if that helps.
Anyone in BKK used a good private chef before?
Hey, everyone. Anyone in Prague monday to hang out? Will arrive sunday eve
Wohoo!!

Hello, fellow digital nomad!
Iโ€™m Charlotte, founder of Nomad Impact. Iโ€™m running this 100% pro bono, self-funded, because I truly believe our skills can add something positive to the DN community.

We connect NGOs and skilled volunteers worldwide, turning real needs into short, documented missions (comms, design, web, strategy, ops). Itโ€™s capacity-building, not saviourism: clear scope โ†’ measurable outcomes โ†’ training + handover docs so the work lives on locally.

Iโ€™m piloting in Chiang Mai (early Jan), then Cambodiaโ€”and Iโ€™d love to spark an international movement of skilled volunteering among nomads. Got 2โ€“10 days of bandwidth? Or an NGO with one concrete need? Letโ€™s chat or co-host a small meetup.

Iโ€™m in Cairo 14 Dec - 10 Jan :)
Mostly word of mouth and recommendations from a community. What area?
First Thursdays are probably the best bet. Even locals just wait for that.
Is this yours or did you stay there ?
Hey. I'm on route to fly to Phu Quoc today. Anyone have any recommendations on accommodation with a workspace and solid internet in Duong Dong or surrounding areas. My first time visiting so open to suggestions of other areas to stay also
stayed there
Hey Nomads! ๐Ÿ‘‹
Iโ€™m in Miami โ€” anyone around and up for hanging out or grabbing a coffee sometime? Let me know! ๐ŸŒดโ˜•๏ธ
It's Carnaval all year long in Rio though! ๐Ÿ˜น
Are you learning RU by yourself or do you have a teacher in SPB?
ะกะฐะผ. Using DuoLingo ๐Ÿซค
Ah ok, well I tried that approach and it didnโ€™t work for me ๐Ÿ˜…
I have. What do you need for it:

1. Local phone number. Beeline for example
2. Local IIN (Individual Identification Number), you need to get it at Public Service Center, they pronounce it โ€œtsonโ€. You better take a kazakh/russian-speaking friend with you, in the โ€œtsonโ€ they likely donโ€™t speak english
3. Then you can go to a bank and open an account. But beware, ask what the card expiring period is. It might be like a year for foreigners in some banks

Also keep in mind that Kaspi Bank is the mostly used in Kazakhstan, but they donโ€™t offer multi currencies cards. Tenge only. Itโ€™s Visa, so it works outside of KZ too, but tenge

Halyk, Jusan, BCC offer multi currencies cards
Airbnb's usually nice.
Hey everyone,

Iโ€™ll be in London 13-25th December.

If anyone else is here let me know and can try to host a meetup โ˜บ๏ธ
Hello good people :)
Whatโ€™s a good website for real estate here? Does anybody have any experience with buying land here?
jmibl in #georgia 1d
Ss.ge and myhome.ge. You can't buy farm land / rural land as a foreigner.
Thanks Jamie ๐Ÿ‘
I mean residential
jmibl in #georgia 1d
๐Ÿ‘ residential in a city no issue. Residential in a village might be considered farm land.
For the few of us who are still in Bogota next week, i m hosting a mmetup: cheers!

Hi people ๐Ÿ˜Š Anyone knows a reliable jewelry agent in Thailand/ BKK? I have my own jewelery brand and want to connect with some manufacturers or wholesale in Thailand. Happy to connect with other nomads, doing that and exchange :)
Hey, everyone. Anyone in Almaty in early January to catch up?
Will be there on the 2nd

Any cafe recommendations to work from in ulu? I donโ€™t like cowork rip offs where you have to pay to go to the โ€žofficeโ€œ.
071niklas in #bali 13h
The best cafe Iโ€˜ve been for food + work was the Tarabelle, sadly itโ€™s a few minutes from ulu. But since Iโ€˜ve stayed in Ungasan it was just perfect
eric124 in #bali 12h
Thanks Iโ€™ll try it out
ask chatgpt, they have a few
u order from this place called easyhealth on grab

anyone have recommendations for phuket
places to stay
coworking place
Which area exactly do you want to live in?
Homa in old town
And selina serenity near rawai
I can recommend
I personally like Rawai, because it is less crowded and near the beach and capes
Old town one is comparatively far from beach
They have their own websites, you can check them out
ynnck4 in #brazil 10h
unfortunately Iโ€™m already further south
i have no idea
i heard selina is like 150$ a night
kinda out of my budget
homa looks nice and cheap
any other options?
https://maps.app.goo.gl/tcrJbrsYxqzPSWr96?g_st=ic
There are a few more Coworking areas near here
I didnโ€™t experience them personally
You can find decent under $25 per night stays in Rawai (private stays and not shared hostels)
But itโ€™s possible to connect the vpn to the WiFi and use without any restrictions? I heard that didnโ€™t work well, only esim
Iโ€™m planning to stay for a month working from there but idk ๐Ÿคฃ every answer in Reddit say something different
Hey guys. I wanted to asked you fellow nomads who live in Colombia, especially Medellin and Bogota how is it life there? Is really dangerous, that you can be robbed and that you can be cautious, and what are your experience with dating Colombian girls? I heard a lot of things they will drug you and robb you and all of things bs. I start my nomad journey with Bali in february and plan to go to Da Nang and Chiang Mai later, but I am interested is it safe for digital nomads in Medellin and in Colombia in general? Because in Asia that is something that is big plus, it is generaly safe.
Btw dude is very dangerous, especially if you deal with local girls. When I lived in hostel, crimes occurred every day. On the photo case when a guy was scopolamined and robbed.
Colombia is safe if you take the necessary precautions.
Watch your drinking. Don't use dating apps. Be suspicious of women who seem too keen.

If your gut tells you something is off, then don't do it.
which websites are you checking? I am also looking for options to go on march
thinking shared with private bathroom or options in hmlet
Hey! Has anyone done or is doing the working holiday visa as an American? Please reach out if so!
I am in Medellรญn and seems really safe. Just be careful much like anywhere else.
