Hey 👋 I'm building a bunch of things at the moment, including a full services advisory firm (with laywers partners from reputable firms), we take care of residency/citizenship/incorporations etc in quite a lof of jurisdictions

I'm creating a small platform to share free content and thoughts with people (to increase our rep but also because I genuinely think this content could help a bunch of people, especially in those kind of groups) but I'm unsure about the way people consume content today

When it comes to take a decision/do some research for your next move, do you:
- ask your AI for everything
- just spend time on social media and click on ads that relates (ie video formats)
- still read emails/newsletters & search on google

Just trying to see what would be the best distribution angle for this before pouring a lot of time into creating some content

You’d be right, but I’ve been doing the 180 days for the last 3 years. Finding remote work in the U.S. is rough right now, and I have no leads.

It's good for a week or two for tourism but not really for nomading. Ethio and Safari were fine for eSims. You pay more to get a lot less (like any country without a real middle class). I had to stay in 4 Airbnbs before I found one that was halfway decent (and it would have been overpriced anywhere else in the world). I'd visit again for the great nature, fascinating culture, and nice people but it's not a Nomad destination yet. Food gets old fast. Begging wasn't as bad as other parts of Africa but it wears you down.

I’ve been considering this 180 days thing myself. Have you guys been doing the 180 days, then spending another 180 days outside the country before returning?

Or do you not necessarily have to wait that long?

I've done both (consecutive and non). Ended up buying a place in Tokyo but never bothered with PR. I still like being nomadic. Haven't had an issue flying in and out at the end of 90 days but mostly I'm just there in Spring and Fall (Summer is horrible in Tokyo).

why do you consider to build a local company in indonesia ?
they called it PMA (penanaman modal asing), and i think it requires some heavy investment upfront
from my perspective, either you have friend in indonesia who can help you register using their name, or you're ready to invest quite heavy there

if you have brand, don't forget to register PDKI also, because the rule is first-to-file. but you'll need legal representation since you're not indonesian

Honestly man, there's not going to be a tech job that you can do that a local can't do, especially with shit Japanese. All the people I know that have interesting tech jobs in Japan (Palantir, GS, etc) were hired in the US and then transferred to the Japanese office. My advice, if you really want to live in Japan, is to take the ALT/teaching route. Get a contract/apartment. Grind to N1. Do side hustles (I know people making $3k a month doing stupid Instagram photography and ramen tours in Tokyo) and get to a position where you can add value to a Western company expanding to the market.
