I only spent the weekend in Sanur. I intended to stay longer and checkout the Livit Hub - Coworking Space. However, my plans were interrupted when intense rain flooded the streets up to knee height, making it nearly impossible to get around on foot. Even so, Iโm grateful I wentโSanur had a calmer, seaside pace that felt like a nice contrast to busier parts of Bali. What surprised me most was how easy it felt to connect with people at ICON Bali Mall. The shopping mall food court turned out to be an unexpectedly great place to meet locals and discover that community can show up in the simplest places, even a shopping mall food court during a stormy weekend. |

I stayed at Outpost Ubud, a co-working and co-living space. What stood out most were the peopleโwarm, genuinely kind Balinese hosts who made me feel welcome, safe, and supported every day. I loved the neighborhood tooโquiet, tucked off the main road, and easy to get around the neighborhood on foot without needing a scooter. Days were filled with local coffee and plenty of Indonesian food from nearby warungs. Evenings were for culture at Ubud Palace, watching traditional Balinese dance and gamelan performances. |
