I lived in Playa for two years and a half. I really enjoyed working and living there, however the food is pretty average and as expensive as in Portugal but in Portugal you get much higher quality for it. The humidity and heat get very high starting from June through October. Playa however is very very safe and thereโs a huge expat community there. Basic Foodie is a very famous spot to go have brunch/breakfast and meet some of them. Itโs a very walkable city and by the beach, I was living in a penthouse with private pool and terrace in a modern condo with all amenities for $1700/month which is very decent. For two people we would spend around $3500 a month including eating out every day. |
