First ski in Europe! Broke nose on day 1. Sprained thumb on day 2. Caught flu on day 3. Dolomites were as breathtaking as I imagined they would be. Food, as per usual in Italy, sucked for me. Pasta on pizza on pasta on carbs. Can't girl get a veg around here? Lots of hand talking. Locals only hiking spot. Too many gondolas and not enough lifts. Italians don't think they speak Spanish, but tend to understand it anyway. I'll sit with these guys. |

Very diverse ecosystems for such a small island: desserts, dunes, rocky cliffs, calderas, white sand and black sand beaches, tropical forests y mas. Infested by roaches. Strong Nomad community. Weekly ultimate frisbee club. Heavy German outcrop. |

Escape from reality in a dirt road town. Mosquitos will eat you alive. Use deet 40%, melt your skin away, and still get bitten. Watch sunrise and sunset from the same Caribbean beach where you can see snow capped mountains. Eat locally grown mangos and coconut to your heart's content. Very special spot. |
