This was a multi-country trip that started in Barcelona (Garcia Barrio), moved to Mallorca = good food, beautiful beaches + outstanding terrain (spend a good week), then ferried to Valencia, which has a nice low-key cultural vibe ... Morocco, is so many things = the taxing of your senses, the vibrant/crowded/narrow streets, the coluors, the cats, the payer call, the architecture (stay in art filled riad), the Atlas Mountains (and the villages), Essaouia, Fez!, Chefchaouen, the Sahara desert experience (while there, shop for rug/art house items in Merzoouga area-if that is your jam. Nonetheless, do spend more than a couple of days in Marrakesh = explore. All of the above recommended.

Explored standard travelers path ... highlights = Jatiluwih rice terraces, Ulun Danu Beraton temple, and Nusa Penida Island; however, spent the majoirty of my time exploring Lombok = south beaches are lovely, if not incredible, Tanjung San is one. More importantly explored the island fully, not just for beaches and waterfalls but the culture. Do explore the Gilis, not just the most known in the north but southern-off-the-beaten-path, like Gili Kedis. Lastly, Komodo/Padar Islands are worth the boat trip
