Online Privacy Workshop If you have an iPhone or Android smartphone then you’ve probably heard that your handset “calls home” dozens of times per hour. Your location, sensor data, health stats, together with metadata about everything you do on (or near) your phone, is sent to centralized datacenters that profile you, your loved ones, and every person you meet. Privacy is the freedom to choose when and how we present ourselves to the world. If privacy is lost then we are no longer free to be who we are. Human. In this workshop we will cover the following topics: - What is online privacy, and why it’s important? - Simple ways we can improve our privacy. - Common mistakes to avoid when you’re trying to preserve your privacy. - How to 10x your privacy without buying new apps or devices. - We will then open up for discussion and knowledge sharing.
