Hey all.
I bought this 2 Backpacks and now i got a little bit unsure about. Could I travel just carry on with them?
Will the Low Pro Tactic 450 AW II be allowed as personal item (Camera Bag) ?
Thanks for your time

Hi everyone,
I would love to hear what you'd like me to build next on Nomad List, or any other product/feature feedback ideas you have.
It's been 6+ years now but I'm in this for the long term and with the boost remote work got last year it's even more exciting to work on Nomad List than ever.
Current roadmap is here: twitter.com/levelsio/status/1363204985488572417?s=20 and pbs.twimg.com/media/EusS9PKXEAUR8xp?format=jpg&name=4096x4096
The next products/features I have planned:
- ๐ Rebase: visa, residency and immigration services for remote workers
- ๐Courses: learn the steps how to go remote and travel/relocate
- ๐ Gov liaison: diplomacy services to the governments to help us lobby for nomads and for them to attract remote workers
Thanks a lot!
What are the best places right now in the Caribbean/LatAM? (Also cheapest flights/accommodation?) Asking from the US.
As part of signing up for this website I was hoping I would come across a list of Visa and/or Residency requirements by country ideally in a table format to assist with decision making. Does anybody recommend any other websites that might present the information in this format (or Google Spreadsheet)?
I love living in walkable areas of town. I can always find them. But now I'm wondering where in the world are the most walkable places? I'm imagining walk streets (no cars), zoning allowing both business and residential, parks or beaches ,etc.
Hi guys,
After the Netherlands, the Bay Area, Colorado and being on the van life for 8 months, I am now in Sedona, AZ with a few other digital nomads. We are sharing a home here and are wondering if there are more like minded people in the area.
We do a bunch of hikes and campouts in the northern of Arizona. If you would like to connect with us, please do so :)

Has anyone figured out a way to get setup with a virtual number and internet connection anywhere you go?
Hi everybody. I live and work in Germany and want to go to Canary Islands for 6 months to work from there. I'm going to keep my current job, just change the "home" in the home office part of things. Are there any tax issues I have to be aware of? I was reading about becoming a residence after 183 days, thus having to pay taxes there plus my employer having to register there. Does anybody know how it works exactly? Thanks a lot!
Winter is coming and Iโm feeling the ache of travelling after being stuck in the same place since the Pandemic started. Wondering if anyone is travelling right now? If so, where are you currently located and how is the situation where you are?
Hi nomads, Iโm in Hawaii for a couple months and wondered what the best co-working or co-living spaces were on the islands and why? Preferably near surf spots and also easy to meet some other DNs.
Hi All,
My question is about banking when it comes to being overseas/working etc. How do you avoid getting charged large fees by your bank when withdrawing overseas?
Iโm originally from Australia and do my banking still in Australia. I live in the UK and most recently was living in Vietnam where I found I had to withdrawl money just to get charged very large amounts from my Aussie bank.
How do you get around this? What can you recommend.
Thanks
Hi guys, my wife and I are planning on spending 2-3 months in Chiang Mai in February and wanted to know from experienced people if there is anything we can learn or do beforehand to make it a productive and exciting trip?
Weโve traveled together before so thatโs all good, we know what to pack and have been spending time reading these forums and related blogs for ideas on living costs etc.
Also, Chiang Mai seems like the place to go if you want cheap living but weโre totally open to other suggestions in the area, for example looking at Saigon or other places.
Any suggestions or pointers would be most appreciated!
I support ObamaCare, but I donโt understand about the requirement that USA citizens must now have health insurance. I just got a new plan, and they donโt support any medical needs when Iโm out of the country! So, if working abroad 6 months of year, how do I NOT pay insurance for those months and NOT get a tax penalty? FYI, Iโll be in a pretty high tax bracket in 2016.
Thanks!
Hey! Moving to Thailand from January-March, looking for some epic coworking places to work and stay. It has to be somewhere in the nature. Any suggestions? Tnx!
Hey Nomads!
So Nomad House: Project Austin is coming together. We found a better house with a better location and living arrangement, and we are just looking for one more digital nomad to join our little experiment from Feb. 1st- Mar. 1st.
Living options:
$900: Private Room
$700: Shared room
The house is at S. Park Dr. and Powell Court in Austin Texas.
To give you an idea of the awesome people youโd be living with, the residence so far are:
@tikhon - Hailing from San Fran (for now!), seasoned developer, specializing in dev/ops, sysadmin and the non-tech side of the startup world such as Fundraising/recruiting/sales. You may be be familiar with the 2 successful start-ups that he co-founded - Scribd + Parse. Avid rock climber, photographer and looking to make another awesome project this time free from VCโs overlord control! Rockin!
@maxholzheu - Hailing from Guatemala, alum of Build Campus in SF. Committed to paving a courageous path to freedom using technology. His life philosophies are *stop planning, start moving *never stop learning. Currently kicking ass as a web developer for Junto Studio, with remote work privileges.
Grayson - Has yet to fork over the $15 to join the #nomad group. But luckily heโs a good friend of mine. We met working at a company is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia called Mindvalley (you may have heard of it). When heโs not helping artist promote themselves with his startup Mumora, heโs either eating street cooked grub in a hole in the wall in South East Asia, blogging about marketing or just being a tall shaggy good dude!
Me - Iโm Brandon, you can check out some of the crazy stuff Iโve done in the past: like the time I biked from German to India, or the time I became a Thai commerical star! Life is random, I know! Currently working for a startup called Bucketfeet, that makes cool sneakers using designs submitted by artists from all over the world! I convinced them to let me move to Austin and work remote, so let the adventures begin. I also like salsa dancing, personal development books, maps and anything with 2 wheels!
You - Canโt wait to see who are 5th nomad will be!
If you want to be apart of something great, sign up below and letโs build a world free of year leases, boring roommates and coffeeshop refugees.

Hello,
Is there any typical scams in Southeast Asia to be aware of? I think it would be beneficial for many digital nomads if we could help eachother and tell about typical scams to look out forโฆ
Iโm starting to think about luggage choices for our adventure. Weโre personally not planning on a lot of rugged trekking, which made me wonder about the preference for backpacks that digital nomads tend to have. Do nomads tend to prefer backpacks due to trekking? What advantages to backpacks have over more traditional rolly bags?
