Vitória is a great city for quality of life, often ranked among the best in Brazil. It has a relaxed yet well-developed environment, with a strong business sector, especially in innovation. The city is walkable, with charming neighborhoods that are safe and pleasant for biking or strolling. Crime is mainly an issue only in distant suburbs and favelas, which are easily avoided.
There is a good variety of restaurants, cafes, and nightlife spots, particularly in neighborhoods like Praia do Canto and Jardim da Penha. However, the city lacks major tourist attractions and sports events, making it less appealing for those seeking a more tourist-oriented experience. The beautiful coastline and natural surroundings compensate for this, providing plenty of outdoor activities.
Vitória has warm weather year-round and is more affordable than major cities like Rio or São Paulo, while still offering a high standard of living. The local community is friendly, though the expat presence is relatively small. Overall, it's a solid choice for those looking for a safe, affordable, and enjoyable place to live in Brazil.

Vitoria is always in the top 5 Brazilian cities for quality of life, and has a unique neighbourhood kinda style in the areas in which nomads are likely to live and work. Very walkable. I'd describe all the areas as cute, rather than majestic or big-city like, but they all have a nice, hip, kinda vibe that is great for strolling. Also much more difficult than in Rio to stumble into a bad neighbourhood. Lived here for 6 years and never had any problems. I walk and bike everywhere and never felt threatened. Pretty beaches and great access to nature. Good restaurantes, coffee shops, and nightlife. Short on musuems, football games, and big time tourist attractions (although the convent in neighbouring Vila Velha is really spectacular) if that is your thing. Not a huge expat community, but local people are very freindly. Live in Praia do Canto, Jardim da Penha, Jardim Camburi, Enseada do Sua, or across the bridge in Praia da Costa. Nice weather all year round. Pretty rich place, but cost of living much lower than Rio or Sao Paulo. Stay way from the suburbs, and favelas where there is a lot of crime (but why would you ever go there...).

Vitória is a rising city in Brazil. It is an island, capital of the province of Espírito Santo. With a variety of well developed sectors and industries, such as mining, steel, granite, coffee, the city has rising innovation economy lead by companies like Wine and Picpay and hubs such as Findes Lab, Hub Fucape and Base27, connecting startups and investors.
Vitória has a unique life quality: In Vitória you can go for a walk on the beach in the morning and in a few minutes, with lo traffic, arrive at your office low stress.
Nightlife is good: Triangulo das Bermudas na Praia do Canto, Rua da Lama in Jardim da Penha, Laminha in Jardim Camburi and Rua 7 at Vitória Downtown are some options for nightlife.
