i am trying to find a monthly based condo in SUKHUMVIT in BKK becaue i am staying 1-3 Months in BKK. But somehow its nearly impossible to find a nice one. Except Air BnB 1000$+ …

How do you find your Condos in BKK?

So, I’ve been looking into e-residency and moving my business to Estonia the past few weeks.
I’m still a tax resident in Germany and therefore fear I’ll be suspect to CFC laws. I somehow can’t find any reliable info on this and I don’t feel like reading through the whole law, so just wondering if anyone knows how CFC laws in EU countries come into practice. What taxes do I need to pay exactly? As soon as I cash out (dividends), as far as I can see I need to pay 20% income tax in Estonia. Then what? Of course, I would need to pay income tax in Germany. What taxes do I need to pay besides these?
And if I keep the money in Estonia/reinvest it, am I right that I wouldn’t need to pay any taxes at all? Only for the money I cash out of Estonia/the business?

I’m by the way not doing this to evade taxes, taxes are secondary. I primarily simply want to move my business activities out of Germany + the all-digital concept and the bookkeeping service of agencies like leapIN are interesting.

i plan to work from Casablanca from mid of April to begin of June this year and were wondering if anyone knows how to find a short-term apartment or a living commune . AirBnB does not really offer much under 1000 Euro, which seems a bit high for me.

I am looking for a 1-bedroom apartment o a room close to the city centre - budget: max 500 800 Euro. Can someone help?

I was wondering if anyone knows a website to keep track of the hotels I have stayed in, I really like to keep track of everything. I have a couple of websites to track each flight I took and was wanted to see if there is something similar but for hotels.

I’m interested in renting in apartment in Playa del carmen, Mexico, for the month of March. I’d like to pay $400-600 US. Anyone know of any good ones that are within 10-15 minute walking distances of 5th avenue and the downtown Mega grocery store?

I’m visiting Medellin this October for a month and was wondering what’s the best way to find a place there.

I’m looking at El Pabelado, but on Airbnb it’s all like $1500, when I know the real rent price there for a 1br should be $600.

Anyone can recommend some locals so I won’t get scammed/overpay?

Is there a website where a community of people can rate and review co-working spaces around the world? I’m in a nice place right now, and about to start on toward the next destination, I’d love to review the coworking space I’m currently sitting in and start planning for the next stop.

I know that there are some threads around here about it, but I’d love to search “Taipei” and see a list of them with reviews from actual nomads (rather than the hap-hazard websites the coworking spaces make about themselves).

Hey nomads! I just landed in Malta and I’m looking to rent a 1br apartment for a month, ideally close to a gym and supermarket.

Am I best sticking around sliema/st julians? Or st paul’s bay? Or in Valletta itself?

Also, I haven’t had much luck finding monthly rentals on airbnb or through simonmamo or other real estate sites - seems to be really tough finding a place for 1-3 months. Any inside tips on how to rent an apartment for a month here?

Lots of nomads in and headed to Barcelona. Let’s create a central place for resources, guides and sites for finding an apartment.

I’m headed there in April for 1-3 months (argh, Schengen!). So far Craigslist and Spotahome seem useful. What else is there?

Also any thoughts on neighborhoods would be great here. Right now I’m looking at Gracia which seems to be the spot. Probably avoid Barrio Gotico and Barceloneta due to masses of tourists. I’ve heard some good things about El Born… thoughts?

Over the past few months I started doing javascript development work and I’m trying to build projects for my portfolio. I’m working on a productivity tool that would have a paid tier for users and I’m not sure about the best practices for setting up this up for myself in terms of tax efficiency and ways to incorporate.

Right now it’s only me who works on this and I project a modest user base in the beginning with perhaps a few hundred dollars of revenues that I would like to expand ideally. I’m looking at services like Stripe which has an option for individuals without the need for incorporation.

Meanwhile I’d like to reach to a point where I can hire some people to develop with me and run operations if there’s more steady cash flow coming in. Fundraising is also of course an option on the table. I don’t foresee a lot of potential for legal liabilities with this project but I’d like to be personally protected. I’d Hence I think incorporation is inevitable down the road.

I’m not sure if I should incorporate as early as possible, since there is some costs associated with this. But if I were to do this, with US status, I am wondering what should I be looking for to ensure that I can run this well in the long run. If any nomads have had experience with the business side of a personal start-up project I’d love to hear your opinion and experiences.

What are some good strategies on taking care of Airbnb managment while on traveling mode?

So far, everywhere I’ve lived, I’ve been able to book an apartment in advance on Craigslist or Airbnb. Sometimes I’ll even reach out on the #nomads Slack group, on Couchsurfing, or contact the owner of a local coworking space to see if anyone knows a landlord in need of a tenant. This works great for larger towns and cities.

I’m beginning to look into living in smaller, more remote towns. Does anyone have advice about showing up in a country without a home and tracking one down?

I’m moving to Bangkok in November, and shooting to find an apt. with wifi for under $500 / month, for probably just a one month stay.

More curious about which neighborhoods to look for, something lively and fun as well. And any methods too, I’ve been looking at Airbnbs but get the feeling that it’s a little inflated on there.
