I was thinking about going there towards the end of summer. @geo there is Amosfera in Split a couple others recommended.
I am thinking about spending one month in Croatia this summer. Not sure where, though. Sea + cool coworking space would be ideal!
Montenegro and Croatia very soon, Been in Malta 3 months and starting to fell like a non nomad

Iโm heading to Croatia in May or June.
Iโd like to spend a month or two there, but Iโm still hesitating between Split or the surrounding islands (eg: Hvar, Vis).
Anyone has experience working on an island in Croatia? Is the internet fast & reliable?
Canโt speak for the other islands but my mobile data (HSPA+/4G, USD10 for 3GB/1 month) from T-Hrvatski worked great on Hvar during the couple days I spent there (Hvar Town, Stari Grad)
I went there the last 2 years, and Iโm inlove with Croatia. Iโm going back next year, now to go from Zadar to Montenegro.

What are the best places right now in the Caribbean/LatAM? (Also cheapest flights/accommodation?) Asking from the US.

I love living in walkable areas of town. I can always find them. But now I'm wondering where in the world are the most walkable places? I'm imagining walk streets (no cars), zoning allowing both business and residential, parks or beaches ,etc.

Hi everybody. I live and work in Germany and want to go to Canary Islands for 6 months to work from there. I'm going to keep my current job, just change the "home" in the home office part of things. Are there any tax issues I have to be aware of? I was reading about becoming a residence after 183 days, thus having to pay taxes there plus my employer having to register there. Does anybody know how it works exactly? Thanks a lot!

Hello, we are US citizens that have been able to stay in Italy past our standard visa stay due to covid. Now we must leave. We want to drive to Croatia as our โout of EUโ stay. But Iโm now wondering what considerations I need to take care of for my visa. I wonโt go through an airport and get my passport stamped. But I assume I need to get my passport stamped as a way to prove Iโm out of the EU.
Anyone else travel in and out of Schengen zone via car? Or know what I should do to properly handle the visa situation? I get unclear answers online. Hmm.

We are in Umbria until August 31. We've been here since March, but crisis-level visa extensions are over. After that we have to leave the EU. We would like to stay out of the USA (our home) due to it's covid crisis, at the same time we want to be responsible about travel. Ideally we would not travel at all, rather stay hidden in the countryside of Umbria forever until covid is more under control globally, but here we are!
So we must leave the Schengen zone. We should avoid USA. We should avoid long air travel.
We were thinking Croatia.
Do you recommend a route to Croatia? We are open to long train rides. Ideally not long ferry rides. Is there a ferry route under 4 hours? I read about it...I don't see it. If not, the other option is to make our way north and up over to Croatia via train.
I'd appreciate your thoughts and insights!

Due to a recent US work visa rejection (H1B), Iโm considering turning to freelancing and being a digital nomad. My former employer (US based start-up) wants me to continue rendering my services as a contractor/freelancer (so I have a confirmed major client and Iโll probably take on other minor clients on the side). From the get go I want to get my taxes right and I was hoping you seasoned nomads can assist me. Some of the key aspects of my case are:
I hold an Indian passport and as long as I donโt stay in India for 182 days Iโm considered non-resident (No taxes on foreign income as long as services are not rendered in India, otherwise 30% tax).
I may have to visit the US occasionally, so having a tax-residency in a country with a US tax-treaty may be beneficial (I maybe incorrect here).
Iโm willing not to be a perpetual traveller and put down roots in a low tax country that offers easy tax residency with low-taxes.
Will incorporating in a tax-friendly help my case? Or will just perpetual travel be enough to completely avoid taxes?
P.s. If any of you offer sound tax advice for a fee and are aware of international taxation laws (especially US tax laws), do let me know.
Hi all, need some help with schengen fuzzinessโฆ Iโm a US citizen.
Does any know if the 90 day rule applies inside of Croatia. Iโm seeing that Croatia isnโt part of schengen but adopts the same visa aquis. This isnโt clear to me.
If someone has a definitive answer please let me know as Iโm approaching the 90 day rule in my travel plans and I want to hit Croatia and not have it count.

Iโm thinking of spending August-October in Europe; Berlin was a strong contender, but Iโm hearing good stuff about Zagreb. Anyone have any experiences (good or bad) to share?
Iโm going to Australia for the first time in a week or so. Iโd like to visit places like Byron (from Sydney). But Iโd prefer not to rent a car.
I know Google Maps supports public transit directions in Aus, but based on my experience in London, theyโre often not as useable / accurate as the native planning tools (e.g. National Rail app in the UK).
Can anyone recommend any local apps / sites for planning routes on trains, buses, etc. in Aus?
