Hey everyone, any recommendations for a dentist in a Mexico city? Particularly in Roma/La Condesa neighborhoods.
Also, should I buy any dental insurance or just pay cash?
Any info is appreciated.
Thanks much.

My fiancรฉe and I are most likely moving to NYC (maybe DC) in August, and as a technical startup co-founder I'd love to meet new people that are also into startups. Would joining a co-working space be worth the money to do this?
I work for a big tech company that has an office in NYC, but it's mainly sales so I wouldn't be able to meet others that are related to any of my 9-5 work or likely into tech.
If co-working spaces, post covid of course, aren't a good way to meet business starting people in a new city, what is?
I am planning to travel to Mexico City next weekend and stay for 7-10 days there. I wonder if cafes, stores and other places like these work? And if cafes work, do they work as usual or only for take away&delivery? Will be very thankful if someone can help here.
I will be traveling/working through Mexico with my dog February to April. My plan is to stay in Sayulita for about 2-4 weeks, then travel south along the cost.
Is there anyone who wants to share an airbnb apartment? I was thinking of renting a private villa, but because these are large and have multiple rooms, I was wondering if there are fellow nomads wanting to share? Iโm open to other locations as well (Puerto Vallerta, Oaxaca, and everything in between these two locations.
Iโm curious whether anyone drove to Mexico instead of flying and used their car down there. Iโve heard bad stories of people driving down there but not sure I believe them. How safe is it to drive through rural areas, and to park in cities? It would be cool to have the car to explore while there.
Hi guys!
Know Mexico City?
We are here for 4 more nights. We want to get a good feel for how it would be to live here as nomads.
What neighborhoods should we check out? What cafรฉs should we peep? What peeps should we meet?
Haha, thanks so much!
I just landed as a n00b digital nomad in Mexico City, and I am wonderingโฆ Where are all the international digital nomads hiding around here? I have been to several coworking spaces (Selina etc.) only to find A LOT of local Mexican workers and businesses. Donโt get me wrong, that is all fine, but I was hoping to meet some international nomads! Any advice?
Hi,
Considering a trip to Salt Lake City area, with a side trip to Moab, UT. Thinking of renting a Class B RV (Sprinter van size) to test out Van Life.
Looking for any suggestions/input on:
Looking to do some easy to moderate:
Wondering what months I could do each. Iโd love to do a late September trip if itโs not too late.

Hi Guys,
Iโm planning out my next stops after leaving Medellin, Colombia soon where I can hunker down and get some work done with fast wifi and cheap living. Will be in Mexico first so starting a look there but wondering if coming back down to South America might make more sense?
My main concerns are budget and fast enough wifi for me to work from home. Other considerations are some nomad community (ideally also some English speaking expats as my Spanish is basic) and warm enough weather.
Thanks in advance!
Would you recommend โWork Zoneโ http://www.oficinasplaya.com over Nest?
Do you have other coworking spaces there you would recommend?
And where is a good place to stay (i.e. coliving)?
Weโre researching places to use as a home base next year, and are leaning towards Mexico or Panama for 10 months (with 1 week โvacationsโ to explore surrounding countries)
But, I want to settle some place where the infrastructure is good enough for fast, reliable internet - fast enough to run live webinars without worrying that Iโll be S.O.L due to internet issues when itโs time to go live.
And ideally, Iโd like to be on the coastโฆ I like to have ocean/beach access without the need for a drive.
And not in a malaria zone (just saying, since Panama in particular has many areas that Iโd rule out simply due to the need for malaria prevention meds)โฆ itโs one thing to take that stuff for a few weeks long trip, but I donโt want to take it for months on end.
Thoughts?
Thanks for reading all
Iโm going to travel to Mexico by the end of february and i would like to know which place do you recommend to stay at for a month or so. Which one would fit better for a digital nomad? Pros and Cons for each place are welcomed
thanks!
Anyone want to share their strategy/tips for finding out what to do when you arrive at new location, and/or finding about ongoing events (for example when staying for longer term)?
Hey! Trying to learn more about digital nomad locations in Mexico. Anyone living in San Pancho (San Francisco), Mexico? Do you recommend it?
So Iโm taking the plunge and will be going nomad in less than 3 months from now!
My situation is that I just started a semi-remote contract with a startup that has a good chance to go fully remote in 3 months time if all goes well.
I will be heading over to Chang Mai at some point, but have decided to do a month or two in South America first, just so that the time difference isnโt so crazy while dealing with the team back home (skype/ hangout meetings in the morning etc)
The current cities on my radar are Mexico City, Medellin and Buenos Ares.
Basically, I am looking for a place that is has a relatively low cost of living, is safe for expats, has good internet and doesnโt have too much of a language barrier.
If anyone has lived in any of those cities ( or other nomad friendly spots in SA/CA), would love to get your thoughts on which place would be ideal for a 1-2 month stay based on my situation.
Thanks!
Hey guys!
We love Mexico. Weโre excited to find outstanding towns to live in for 2-12 months at a time. Weโre also open to Central American gems.
We especially appreciate learning about those smaller towns that are lesser known but amazing. Personal favorites!
Here are some of our interests:
Here are lesser-discussed towns that caught our eye โ weโd love impressions of these and more that come to mind:
Thanks so much, guys!
Iโve been doing some research about Guanajuato, SMA, Taxco and others. I havenโt really gained any definitive winners of the contest for best non-coastal town. I donโt mind a decent amount of foreigners as it will be my first foray into digital nomadism.
That being said, I do speak Spanish and plan on practicing it - but do not want to rely on it 100% of the time. I am planning on spending 2-3 weeks in Playa del Carmen or Tulum.
For me โbestโ means a. quality Internet b. traditional/Spanish colonial Mexico c. sufficient amount of activities within or near the town for 4 weekends / some weekdays.
Any answers are helpful! Thank you!
How do you handle the constant switching of dentists?
Any thoughts on how to deal with continuity when switching dentists all the time? Dentist #1 says โweโll keep an eye on #12 and #14โ, but then you go to Dentist #2 and they donโt have the records (nor do I understand all the gibberish being spoken by the dentist). Do you keep your records and take them with you?
Also, what about x-rays. Some dentists want to take some for each โnew patientโ. Seems like having x-rays all the time canโt be good. Do you ask for copies or what? Iโve been dentist hopping for about 18 months now and am beginning to wonder how to keep my 54-year-old teeth in the best shape.
Any advice from those doing this long term?
Hello,
Iโm planning to fly to Mexico mid October for 1 month. Iโm working on my laptop (like many others I guess) so I need a reliable wifi connection.
My budget is about $1500/month.
I was looking at Playa Del Carmen and renting a flat through Airbnb is not too expensive since I get a major discount for staying a month.
I donโt really care about nightlife. I want a place with good vibes and I want a place near the ocean or with nature around me.
Does anyone have any thoughts about Playa Del Carmen? and Maybe suggestions of other place in Mexico?
Thank you!
I am currently in Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico with my visa but am ready to move. I need internet and would really like surfing and mountain biking to be part of the community I move to.
Does anyone have location suggestions or experience in San Blas, Nayarit; Saladita, Guerrero; or Nexpa, Michoacan? Thanks
