Hi everyone,
I’ll be in Malaysia from mid-July onwards and would love to meet other web entrepreneurs. I’ll be roaming in the country for a month but will probably stay a bit in KL and Penang. According to your experience, what are the best places to meet web entrepreneurs in these two cities?
I’m particularly looking for web entrepreneurs but if you have suggestions to meet any other entrepreneurs, I’ll be glad to read it

We are currently planing to go to Malaysia for three months, but are unsure whether Penang or KL is the best fit for us.

Generally, we don’t like big cities (e.g. Bangkok) too much, but we need to get some work done and need good wifi and a place that is easy to settle into. A modern, comfortable and private apartment for less than ±2.500 MR is a requirement. Easy access to nature and good food (vegetarian) is more important than shopping or an active nightlife.

Any tips? Thanks for any help!

I’m back in Kuala Lumpur and I’m looking for other nomads to hang with perhaps arrange some group activities/meet ups. It seems like there are very few of us around compared to other SEA cities.

Not a question per se but just a note to those of you in Kl this month. There will be a huge protest called Bersih at the end of the month. You have the rare opportunity to see democracy in action. Still, do be careful as the police here are tear gas happy so be armed with water n salt if you are out and about the city on that day.

there may be road blocks and traffic jams too.

We are in Umbria until August 31. We've been here since March, but crisis-level visa extensions are over. After that we have to leave the EU. We would like to stay out of the USA (our home) due to it's covid crisis, at the same time we want to be responsible about travel. Ideally we would not travel at all, rather stay hidden in the countryside of Umbria forever until covid is more under control globally, but here we are!

So we must leave the Schengen zone. We should avoid USA. We should avoid long air travel.

We were thinking Croatia.

Do you recommend a route to Croatia? We are open to long train rides. Ideally not long ferry rides. Is there a ferry route under 4 hours? I read about it...I don't see it. If not, the other option is to make our way north and up over to Croatia via train.

I'd appreciate your thoughts and insights!
