At the moment Iโm scouting AirBnB for a good place to stay for september. Which houses have you been & can you recommend? Iโm looking at all kinds of locations.
Thanks in advance!

I will be traveling/working through Mexico with my dog February to April. My plan is to stay in Sayulita for about 2-4 weeks, then travel south along the cost.
Is there anyone who wants to share an airbnb apartment? I was thinking of renting a private villa, but because these are large and have multiple rooms, I was wondering if there are fellow nomads wanting to share? Iโm open to other locations as well (Puerto Vallerta, Oaxaca, and everything in between these two locations.
We are hoping to become nomads soon and have booked an AirBnB in September in Goa for our first destination. We are considering what would be the best option for accommodation after that. We are trying to decide between co-living spaces, hostels, or Airbnbs.
What are your experiences of accommodation in terms of the following: reliable wifi, social aspect, pricing, cleanliness, cooking facilities?
Hello,
Iโm preparing to travel again to Europe, but this time I want to bring our bikes. 2 road bikes. Iโll be traveling from USA to the Milan or Rome airport.
Iโd appreciate hearing your thoughts, experience and tips on traveling with a bike. I plan on being fairly stationary with our location and staying in one spot for 2-3 months, then (hopefully train) to another spot for 3 months, etc. So itโs the initial international flight Iโm most concerned about. But realistically, I think a regional flight will be inevitable with the bikes, too.
I know a bike box will be huge and we will have to break down the bike, thankfully our bikes are fairly light weight. Iโm expecting it to be a huge painโฆbut I think the reward of having a good bike to roam around with will be invaluable. Especially since we will be staying in rural areas and donโt want to rent a car.
General range of cost?
Anyone bring their bike and glad they did? โฆWish they didnโt?..
Thanks!
How do you track a total number of days youโve spent in different countries during the past 12 months?
I find it to be important for visa and tax purposes to know how long and where Iโve been and Iโm unable to find any software that solves this.
Hi all,
So, for the last 5 years or so Iโve been working in the travel industry - which means Iโve not had to worry about things like accommodation, because my employer provided it wherever they sent me. This means that , although Iโve been hopping around the world for some time, some of the typical nomad tools like airbnb are relatively new to me now that Iโve crossed over to the world of freelancing.
I was looking forward to adopting a โgo where the wind takes youโ mantra; never booking anything more than a few days ahead so that, if Iโm in a bar and someone talks about a place really cool, I can justโฆ up and go.
Well, Iโm beginning to realise, that may be an unrealistic ideal! Iโve been taking a look through airbnb (granted, itโs for Europe Summer), and Iโm looking about 2 months in advance and everything is booked! Most searches I perform give back statements like โCareful, only 5% of bookings with your search criteria are leftโ - in fact one of the places I planned to pass through only had 1 result left available.
It appears to me that if you want a reasonable period (letโs say 2 weeks), with a few basic conditions like wifi, space to work, etc and you want it at an affordable price that you need to start hunting whatโฆ 6 months in advance? Doesnโt seem very spontaneous and nomadic.
Those of you that have more experience booking with airbnb - how far ahead are you booking to get what you need?
Thanks,
Joe
Hello the community,
I am thinking about opening a business bank account in another country outside of France.
I live in Paris and I work as a freelancer. The taxes on my salary are very expensive (around 85%). I would like to know if there are better options for bank accounts within Europe.
Thank you in advance for your help.

J
Hi, I know there are a few posts around this topic but none of them quite answer my questions.
I am British and currently a resident in the UK.
Next year I am going to become a non-resident and spend over a year traveling mostly around Europe, moving every few weeks never staying anywhere longer than a month. (My first venture into becoming a digital nomad!)
I am remote, self employed, software developer working mostly for one client based in the UK.
Where am I liable to pay taxes?
From what I have read I will not be liable to pay taxes in UK, can anyone confirm this?
If not the UK then where if I am moving every few weeks?
If possible I want to avoid starting a company as this seems unnecessarily complicated for my work setup.
Thank you in advance for any help
I had this impression for a while now, but now it seems impossible to find a monthly stay over airbnb for a decent price. Just now I was looking at Utrecht which averages at 2500 euro per month for a studio. People seem to provide only small monthly discounts. In my last few trips I relied on Facebook groups for finding stay. I do have decent budget but paying โฌ1500+ for a studio in a European city simply seems ridiculous. How is everyone else finding accommodation?
New Year 2017 is coming Iโm wondering where digital nomads going to celebrate it? And whats special plan do you have?
Iโm still at phase of planning for New Year and cant decide a place in Europe where to go Italy, Spain, Portugal?
Hi Guys! Iโm planing to kick start my Nomad Life style in July, and Iโm researching cities in Europe that can provide three things:
All other characteristics (Weather, english speaking), are not as important as the ones above.

Hello.
I am looking for doing about one month of solid work; I have previously worked out of Chiang Mai and I am looking for something simlar:
But in ideally in Europe.
In other words: What are good digital nomading places in Europe? In particular something that is not too dark and cold this of time year.

Does anyone have experience staying somewhere with fast internet in Vientiane, Laos? I am going for only a few days for a visa run, and in the past I found decent places with barely adequate internet for checking email sometimes, but had to work from coffee shops. Would be nicer to be able to work from the hotel / guesthouse and work in the evening.
Alternatively, does anyone have experience with Laotian 3G/4G providers, how well do they actually work, which provider is good, etc. Thanks!
Iโm toying with the idea of hosting on AirBNB, in a city that doesnโt have a large digital nomad presence (Calcutta, India). What would the ideal hosting ad look like for a digital nomad?
My personal preferences:
I know thatโs a pretty specific list, and most AirBNB hosts arenโt developers, so much of this isnโt likely on their radar. What would you guys ad to the list? What makes you AirBNB over a hotel, and / or what would be a must-have AirBNB feature?
Thanks,
D.
Hello, what is the best voice service to use in Europe? I plan to move around to different to countries. Iโm wondering what people are doing?
I was thinking of using Appleโs Sim for data, but that doesnโt include voice.
Hi folks,
Iโve been nomading for about 2 years straight and Iโm looking to switch it up a little bit. This year Iโd like to set up a home base somewhere while still being able to travel around 50% of the time. I thought I would just put my current thinking here to to see if anybody had advice or input on it.
First, why have a base at all? For me it boils down to three reasons:
So Iโm looking at Barcelona, Berlin and Budapest. No I donโt have a weird thing about cities that start with โBโ - it just worked out that way.
Iโm likely looking for a 1 bedroom apartment in the city center (i.e. Gracia, Mitte, District VII). It needs to be either (1) cheap enough that I wouldnโt feel awful about traveling while still paying rent, maybe max EUR 800-900/mo (2) Or, easily Airbnbโable if Iโm gone for a while. Also looking for โforeigner-friendlyโ setup without an extensive bureaucratic leasing process.
So my questions:
Also if anybody loves this idea and wants to chat about finding a bigger place together Iโm open to the idea.
Thanks!
What are some good strategies on taking care of Airbnb managment while on traveling mode?

Hi,
this is David from germany.
I am planning to stay in SE Asia in Q4 2015 while continue working. My work is location independent, but i would need to access customer sites in germany via remote connection. Has anyone done this bevor?
When i was in Thailand for holiday, voip telephony like skype, google talk etc. was working fine, but i did not test any remote access. It was a holiday.
I know that for web guys, this is not a problem, because SSH and git are not so much time critical like a โliveโ desktop session. I know that there will be more lag, as ping times Asia -> Europe will be more like 500ms rather than the < 100ms what working in close proximity to the customer.
I might start at Bangkok or Chiang Mai, so any first hand reports from there would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
David
Small towns with:
Hello nomads,
For those of you with a bit of experience, could you fill in a top 5 of the strongest (paid programs excluded), digital nomad communities around Europe?
Thanks in advance!
Geo
So far, everywhere Iโve lived, Iโve been able to book an apartment in advance on Craigslist or Airbnb. Sometimes Iโll even reach out on the #nomads Slack group, on Couchsurfing, or contact the owner of a local coworking space to see if anyone knows a landlord in need of a tenant. This works great for larger towns and cities.
Iโm beginning to look into living in smaller, more remote towns. Does anyone have advice about showing up in a country without a home and tracking one down?
