+1 On Punspace being โthe bestโ, I prefer the Tha Pae Gate location nowโฆ not so happy that the cafes and restaurant next to the old Nimman location were replacedโฆ but there are still a few good places for lunch (Anchan Noodles) and coffee (too many to list)โฆ
The Brick is a brand new coworking space obnoxiously located about 100m from PunSpace Nimmanโฆ itโs free the first month (just like Punspace was when it first opened). Itโs backed by the government/university so Iโm guessing itโll be cheaper and mostly Thais (unlike Punspace which is 99% non-Thai). Iโve yet to figure out why Hubba (BKK) is reasonably 50/50 Thai/Non-Thai but Punspace is so heavily non-thai.
There are others. CAMP (at Mayaโฆ think lots of Thai teenagers studying) and a couple others that are small and IMHO inferior to Punspace in comfort, reliability, community and just about every other metric Iโd measure a coworking space by.
The Thai immigration chief has just announced a crackdown on foreigners conducting business while on tourist visas. Chiangmai has a history of raiding co-working places and making arrests. Better be careful.
PunSpace (with its two branches in Nimman as well as Tha Pae Gate in the Old City) is probably the most popular option. Their spaces are exceptionally nice, and their prices are just a bit higher than others โ but thatโs because they can afford to do that. Itโs probably the single best choice if youโre looking for a space where you can socialize with other expat digital nomads, there are always people around. 24-hour access is something they offer members, I believe.
Main con with PunSpace is that the locations are hardly ideal unless you have a bike. The โNimmanโ branch isnโt even really in Nimman, itโs on the far southeast section outside of Nimman so from my place on Nimman Soi 2 it wouldโve been a 20+ minute walk. I didnโt ever live in the Old City, so I couldnโt gauge if the Tha Pae Gate location was particularly bad.
Another great option is CAMP. Free coworking space in Maya mall, gorgeous design, great cafe with alright prices, open 24 hours, amazing place in general. Main con: no fixed desks, and Thai students hang out there all the time, often leaving their bags to book spots for hours on end โ if you come in the mornings youโll tend to get a good spot, though.

My fiancรฉe and I are most likely moving to NYC (maybe DC) in August, and as a technical startup co-founder I'd love to meet new people that are also into startups. Would joining a co-working space be worth the money to do this?
I work for a big tech company that has an office in NYC, but it's mainly sales so I wouldn't be able to meet others that are related to any of my 9-5 work or likely into tech.
If co-working spaces, post covid of course, aren't a good way to meet business starting people in a new city, what is?
I am new to working out of coworking spaces. My business entails a lot of video conferences. I haven't chosen a specific coworking space yet but generally, what are the potential solutions for this? I have a microphone and headphones but still fell like it may be inconsiderate to take the calls anywhere in the coworking space. For a solo person, what are some general solutions? Are there usually options to rent a private room by the hour with just enough room to set up my microphone and laptop? Sidenote: any coworking space recommendations in Florianapolis, Brazil would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Iโm curious to know how many people learned some Thai before going there. Learning languages is a hobby of mine but Iโm very put off by how complex the writing system is, and if I decide not to learn it Iโll probably cross Chiang Mai off my bucket list. I prefer to be at least conversational in a language before I do an extended stay in a country. Iโm curious how people who learned no Thai did getting by. And Iโm curious, from people who did learn some, if itโs any easier than it seems? Thanks!
We are hoping to become nomads soon and have booked an AirBnB in September in Goa for our first destination. We are considering what would be the best option for accommodation after that. We are trying to decide between co-living spaces, hostels, or Airbnbs.
What are your experiences of accommodation in terms of the following: reliable wifi, social aspect, pricing, cleanliness, cooking facilities?
Iโm a big believer in co-living but Iโm finding hard to find all the options available in different cities.
I have found the major players like Roam, The Collective, and WeLive but havenโt found many others.
Has anyone seen a list or should I start making one?

Heyo folks! The idea to open up an own coworking space in Malaysia has been on my mind for quite a while and I would like to reach out on foreigners being a business owner/co working space owner in Malaysia, there are a lot of questions that would follow up but most importantly is to reach out to someone with experience.

Iโm considering a month or two in Medellin and wondered what the co-working space options are like. I want something more than a cafe, so happy to pay the going rate. I spent a couple of months at Hubud in Bali earlier this year and loved it, but realise that Iโve set the bar pretty high.

Hi experienced nomads!
Iโve been nomading around SE Asia, HK and China for the last 4 to 5 months. Iโve been moving a lot and now I need to settle down for 3 months to finish some work. So the idea is to be in a stimulating city where I can find nomads, start-ups, self growth, self improvement, spirituality environments.
I already been for one month in Chiang mai, and liked it a lot in this respect, but wanted to try somewhere new, so was thinking to go to Ho Chi Minh or Bali. As I will be working mainly most of the time, the idea is not to spend much this three months, so my idea is to spend around 1200usd per month.
Would appreciate any opinions on this.

Does anyone know of any coworking space open 24hs somewhere around the world? Sometimes because of my line of work I need to be awake when everyone is sleeping on the country I am in (but I know I am not the only one!).
