What are the best places right now in the Caribbean/LatAM? (Also cheapest flights/accommodation?) Asking from the US.
Hey travellers, how are you doing?
Do you have problems to plan your trip choosing any currency they want? For example, Iโm going to the UK but would like to plan my trip (How much will I spend in housing/food/having fun/attending attractions?) in US Dollar or Euro or any other money.
How do you guys do it easily?
I am trying to figure out three things. An average of how much data everyone uses per month, a low end of how little data is used, and a high end of how much data can be used? I am not interested in your methods of acquiring data. I am just interested in how much you use as a whole. This includes both work data usage and your personal data usage.
Hello all,
Iโm just interested on anyones experience of renting short term (1-3 months) accommodation in Medellin, Colombia.
I had a look on Airbnb of course, lots of places, on the more expensive which isnโt a huge issueโฆ Iโm just wondering if in anyones experience itโs better to take a room for a week and shop around when I get there or whether I should just book a month upfront? I recently had a bad experience with Airbnb so not dying to go down that road again just yet if Iโm honest.
Iโll be arriving in Medellin from November onwards over the Xmas period and likely through till January, maybe longer. Another friend is coming with me so we could potentially rent a 2 bed apartment, or Iโd also be happy in a studio or a private room in a decent house even. Iโm thinking El Poblano or Laureles, as we are two girls with limited Spanish.
Any advice appreciated. Thanks
Iโve been doing some research about Guanajuato, SMA, Taxco and others. I havenโt really gained any definitive winners of the contest for best non-coastal town. I donโt mind a decent amount of foreigners as it will be my first foray into digital nomadism.
That being said, I do speak Spanish and plan on practicing it - but do not want to rely on it 100% of the time. I am planning on spending 2-3 weeks in Playa del Carmen or Tulum.
For me โbestโ means a. quality Internet b. traditional/Spanish colonial Mexico c. sufficient amount of activities within or near the town for 4 weekends / some weekdays.
Any answers are helpful! Thank you!
Out of the 3 Areas which would be most beneficial for a foreigner moving to SK?
(If you have experience with areas specifically Iโd love to discuss the specific schools that are offering her a position - Not posting that here for obvious reasons.)
My Girlfriend has received 3 contract offers in Seoul/Surrounding area:
i) Dobonggu
ii) Songpa-gu
iii) Bundang, Gyenggido
Background knowledge:
We love being physically active through sport and weight-lifting, love exploring food culture, need good Coffee and live very modestly in terms of going out/expenditure.
Iโm interested in renting in apartment in Playa del carmen, Mexico, for the month of March. Iโd like to pay $400-600 US. Anyone know of any good ones that are within 10-15 minute walking distances of 5th avenue and the downtown Mega grocery store?
Any suggestions welcome.

Hey all!
Iโve been seeing a lot of budgeting questions floating around lately (not just here, but other nomad forums), so I thought it might be useful to start a thread where anyone who is sharing their nomadic budgets can drop a link (or the budget itself).
I know Betsy and Warren of Married with Luggage share theirs here: http://www.rtwexpenses.com/
My friend Ali isnโt full-time on the road, but she shares real budgets for her trips: http://www.aliadventures.com/category/real-travel-budgets/
Anyone else out there sharing budgets for nomadic life? Please share your links below!
Hey guys,
Iโm looking at heading to Cape Town in February/March. I am looking for a long term accomodation for about three months. I checked out GumTree and StayinCapeTown, but I was wondering if you had any more reccomendations on where to look! Airbnb is quite expensive and sparse.
Also, I would love to know your favourite areas in the city and hear about your experiences
Thanks !
Iโm planning on 6 weeks in Chiang Mai soon and most of the stuff Iโve read about finding a place there says the best thing to do is to look in person. Considering the short time Iโm there, I would prefer to prebook to say a couple of days of apartment hunting.
I was wondering about the options for short(ish) term accommodation and if pre-booking is worthwhile or if Iโll just get fobbed off with the worst room/apartment available.
Iโm just looking for something basic - so long as it has air conditioning. Having a work space would be a definite advantage as would closeness to coffee. Other than that, things like a pool, gym, kitchen arenโt that important to me.
What are some of the places in Seoul, South Korea where I can meet people who work in tech/startups?
Which events, cafes, free workspaces, etc should I look at?
Hi fellow nomads,
my wife and I are traveling to Georgetown in October. We are looking for a small apartment with a kitchen, as we donโt want to eat out every day. Airbnb is pretty scarce or pretty expensive, e.g. 1,000 EUR/month an up.
Do you have any recommendations? We plan to work at @CAT but the room/apartment should have WiFi as well. Our budget is around 700 EUR per month, no shared bathrooms and a balcony would be awesome.
Cheers,
Florian
Iโve chatted to a few of you on the threads these past few days, and now I want to meet you all!
How about next Wednesday 23rd Sept? Iโm happy to arrange it and was thinking To Je To would be a good place. Let me know if another date would be better.
Whoโs in? If we can get more than 10 I might be able to make it an official Nomad List meet up.

Pretty much what the title says, Iโve been trying to find a few good blogs to follow by nomads in the mid-budget range. There seems to be a ton in the budget/backpacker range, trying to do everything as cheaply as possible or, in the mid-budget range but are short-term travellers.
There does seem to be a lack of blogs in the mid-budget, long term travel area that arenโt run by professional bloggers & full of sponsored posts. Am I looking in the wrong places or is it just that people in this niche are too busy making a living doing other work donโt bother blogging?
I follow Making It Anywhere, which is good but not updated much. Any other recommendations?
Hi!
Me and my girlfriend are planning on staying 1-3 months in Santa Teresa, starting in May. Does anybody know how much we can expect to pay in rent, and if there are any good places online to look for apartments? Or is it better to look for a place once weโre there? So far weโve mostly found more upscale options online but we just need a place that is safe, clean and that has a kitchen. A small studio would be fine.
Any help with this would be appreciated!
Hi there! I will be in Hanoi from 25 March and am looking to rent a room or share an apartment with someone. Probably around the West Lake area. If you have a spot in your place for me or want to team up and look for a place together, send me a message!
Or if anyone wants to grab a beer and show me the ropes that would also be much appreciated.
Cheers!
Looking for recommendations on accommodation for a 2-3month stay in Perth Australia any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks!
โฆ or in any modern town (with multi-storey appt buildings).
Hi, Iโm going to Alanya, Turkey this October/November (then moving to Goa). My plan for Goa is the following: I rent something via Booking/AirBnB for just 2-3 days so that we could be rested from the road. During these days Iโm going to shop around for longer and less expensive accommodation. In India, they say, the best way is to do it โofflineโ: just go to streets and look for โRooms to letโ signs. Itโs Ok, I believe, in rural area with 1-2 story houses, but how would one โshop offlineโ in a modern town like Alanya? I mean, you wonโt go into a multi-storey apartment buildings and knock at the doors, will you? Any advices?
Maybe, there are some boards that locals use to rent flats? I donโt like prices on AirBnB, to be honestโฆ Especially with current Rub-to-Euro conversion rate
Besides, our primary goal on this trip is to try living โlike a nativeโ; not interested in touristic attractions.
Iโm looking for a good budgeting and expenses tracking software to track my expenses and my income, I donโt mind if itโs free or paid, but I canโt find any with all these characteristics which are fundamental for me. They always lack at least one or two.
