However, Mombasa Island itself is not viewed as a great place to stay or spend a lot of time in. Reviewers suggest it's better as a convenient spot for an overnight stay before early travel rather than a primary destination. Overall, while the broader Mombasa area may not be optimal for remote workers, nearby coastal towns offer a more appealing environment, especially outside of major holiday periods.
