Nha Trang is a visually appealing and affordable coastal city with good infrastructure, including well-paved roads and strong food delivery networks. Renting a house with ample workspace is recommended over working from cafes due to the limited number of good work-friendly cafes in the city.

Interactions with locals, particularly men, were frequently described as unfriendly or rude, and forming new social connections was a challenge. In addition, the water quality isn't great and cash is still the main method of payment, with limited card usage. While there’s some expat and Russian family presence, the city lacks the vibrancy or variety that long-term digital nomads might seek. Overall, while affordable and internet-ready, Nha Trang may not suit everyone looking to settle down for an extended period.

The city's infrastructure is well developed. Well-paved asphalt roads. Overall, it is a complex city. The climate has changed, it got too hot and it was impossible to go out during the day in my May 2024 visit. The city is full of tourist condominiums for Vietnamese retirement income. Each condo is not unique. The sea is the best thing about this city. Western food is expensive compared to local cuisine, and annoyingly, pizza is delicious. Local food using seafood is delicious. I didn't feel like there was much to do in the city. I would recommend renting a house with plenty of workspace rather than going out and working. Food delivery apps are well spread out. Cash rather than credit cards. I rarely used credit cards only few times. Internet speeds were satisfactory. The water supply is of poor quality.

City was cheap and pretty but there's not that many cafes to work from, plenty of tourists and it was hard to make friends. If you go here make sure to rent a motorbike and check out the nature but there are better places to live at in Vietnam.

Many Russians live here. Not the tattoo ones, mostly Russian families often with small kids. Many of them has small restaurants or shops. We stayed for one months and it wasn't great but it was also not too bad. We stayed in many places in Vietnam for long periods of time but in Nha Trang the locals are not very friendly. Especially the men are very macho and rude.

0.02$ for dinner?? Load of crap. Anyone who has been here or lives here knows that it is impossible. Who puts those calculations!? Totally unreliable
