Iโm currently using Wifi Map Pro on iOS. Works pretty well, but no indication of speed or quality on that app. Any ideas?

After being told it's unworkable in Puerto Escondido, looking for alternatives :)
I'm preparing my Portuguese D7 long-term visa application and one of the required documents is proof of travel insurance with medical coverage. However, as an Australian citizen, if put that as my country of residence in many travel insurance companies' quick quote forms, I'm unable to get ANY insurance coverage at all because of the current travel ban out of Australia, and the Australian govt's 'Do Not Travel' advice to ALL countries. I know that Aussies are applying for, and successfully getting visas from the Portuguese Consulate here, so where and how are they fulfilling this insurance requirement if insurers aren't selling any coverage? Does anybody know or have any ideas?
We are hoping to travel later this year and we will be working remotely - how do you ensure you get good WiFi in places such as in India where the signal isn't always great? Do you have any tips on where to go/ what equipment you have to get?
We have never been in Taiwan (a couple of travelers) and I am just wondering is possible to find there some quite clean place to hang for a while? How it is better to start? Are there any websiteโs for short and long term rentals? It looks like AirBnB is not that popular there. So it seems that usual tactics - rent hotel or airbnb for short term and then look for long term just driving around might not work. It looks like everything there in Chinese - so if there are any tips how to overcome this - that is more then welcome Overall just interested in any suggestion - where best to go first? Also is it hard to extend your stay there - we are digital nomads - so working for some company overseas and probably will be extending as a tourist (If we like there).
Sorry for so many questions - but this is really some terra incognita for me
hello Iโm planning my next trip (from January/February), and Iโm looking for a place where itโs hot, with the sea, and good wifi.
At the moment I live in Paris and work with San Francisco times, so preferably I wouldnโt go to Asia.
Iโm thinking, South Africa or South America, what do you recommend?
Thank you
I vaguely remember hearing about such a service before, but Iโm drawing a blank on the name. Basically I left my tablet on a connecting flight in Europe, right before my main flight to Thailand. They have my tablet and are willing to ship it out for me, but people have warned me thereโs a big risk of it getting โlost in the mailโ if I ship something expensive like that to Thailand.
Iโm wondering if thereโs a service or community, where I can find a nomad whoโs in Europe/heading to Thailand soon, so I can have it shipped to them in Europe and pay them to ferry it down here for me? I met someone in Budapest a ways back who had built something for this type of use-case, but I canโt remember the name of it. Any help would be appreciated!
Hi Guys,
Iโm planning out my next stops after leaving Medellin, Colombia soon where I can hunker down and get some work done with fast wifi and cheap living. Will be in Mexico first so starting a look there but wondering if coming back down to South America might make more sense?
My main concerns are budget and fast enough wifi for me to work from home. Other considerations are some nomad community (ideally also some English speaking expats as my Spanish is basic) and warm enough weather.
Thanks in advance!
We launch in 2 weeks. In the US, we use Apple TV and Netflix regularly. Do these work abroad?
We are leaving for Greece in 60 days and need good wifi for the 3 months we plan on staying there, this is a must! Iโve heard mixed reviews and the 8-10 ranking on nomadlist are not super encouraging. Has anyone recently worked from there? What should we expect? We plan on renting an apartment after staying in airbnb and would like to work from the place we are staying in. Thanks so much for helping me decide if we can continue on or change plans.
Nomad-to-be here, wondering about destinations that offer a good mix of:
Phuket seems an obvious choice, but Iโm hoping there are some nomad scuba divers here who can share their experiences.
im looking for a voip provider that offers inbound and outbound calls to all countries.
I want to replace my swedish sim card with a voip number so i dont get charged alot while traveling, does anyone have a stable voip provider to recommend?
Hi All! Iโve heard Spark and Vodafone are the best. I plan to move around, so I care mostly about having good coverage, and all Iโll need is around 1 GB of data or so.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Looking for somewhere to celebrate New Years in Bali! I would prefer somewhere in Kuta or nearby, but if itโs worth the travel, give me your suggestions!
Not looking to spend too much money either.
Thanks =)

Hello All,
Saw Vermont rolled out an incentive to get more remote workers to live there, Does anyone plan on applying and If so why? Reason Iโm asking is I work for an organization in Tulsa, Ok that wants to also bring in Nomads, and would love to hear your thoughts on what such a plan should look like
Any help would be Awesome!

Anyone want to share their strategy/tips for finding out what to do when you arrive at new location, and/or finding about ongoing events (for example when staying for longer term)?
I recently started running a software consultancy in the UK that specialises in MVP development and onboarding/marketing strategies. I found it relatively easy to get leads by attending networking events (quite a lot here in Edinburgh).
I plan to start travelling soon, though. Has anybody tried to travel while running a software consultancy? Iโm really curious to find out how you handled finding new clients while doing that. Letโs say that if I go networking somewhere in Asia I wonโt find clients willing to spend much on a project (and canโt just pay my employees less because I canโt find good paying projects).
Hi Nomads!
Iโm Veronica, a spanish graduate of computer science. I moved to Dublin to get a job and I have an interview next week. I have a good fluency for now but I am worried I will not be able to speak to my co-workers about specific topics because I am not a native speaker. I can talk about general things but I worry my english is not good enough to talk about what I am trained in.
Does anyone else face this problem when moving to new countries? If so, how did you overcome this? Thanks!!
Iโm planning to stay in London for about a month in August-September, to coincide with an industry workshop thatโs happening there at the beginning of September, and would really love to find a spot in or near the Brick Lane/Whitechapel/Bethnal Green area. AirBnB seems pricy, but Iโm unsure of how easy it is to get a place via SpareRoom.
