Fuerteventura is a laid back remote work location. Nomads and others mainly come here for surfing or kitesurfing, and its beaches. The north has more of that surfer/alternative vibe, the south is full tourist mode, and the center has more traditional villages and dramatic landscapes. It also has great scuba diving in the north.

If that’s your vibe (slow rhythm, surfing, working, eating healthy, sports, beach life, lots of walking…) then you’ll like this.

I loved it. I’ve been there for a couple months 4 years in a row now. I’ve always found accommodations with 100+ mbps internet speed, and great amenities.

Prices are cheap in terms of eating out, activities, etc, but accommodations are getting expensive. In 2026 I’ve paid a 50% more than what I paid in 2022 for a bigger accommodation. Expect around 2k€/mo in the north if you want good internet and a swimming pool.

What you need to know:
- A car is a must, as public transport is nonexistent.
- It is very windy and sandy. Your car will get dirty every 2 days just being parked in a normal street, you’ll get sand inside your place, and you need to plan accordingly. Beaches have stone walls built with beach rocks by people that will protect you.
- Food’s amazing, but it’s mostly Spanish/Italian. The north has more variety, but still.

Great vibe in Corralejo - awesome coworking space. You can get around by walking or they have scooters to rent. I recommend getting a car as it allows you to explore. Excited to go back - in Corralejo they have everything from Yoga spots, kitesurf, skate surf, a callisthenics gym, and good food! It's a small town but a great vibe - lots of cool people living there.

I can recommend Fuerteventura (specifically El Cotillo) if you like surfing, village vibes, yoga, and watersports.
As for places in El Cotillo, Cocoworking seems great, also Triton's Coffee Lab for work and food.
I stayed in Corralejo, but it feels much more touristy.

Back from Corralejo (Fuerteventura): I spent 2 weeks there. The vibe is surf/windsurf/yoga. If you don't do any of these 3 things, you will be bored after 3 days. All the coworkings I saw were absolute garbage (mismanaged, empty, sad vibe). The weather is not that nice: it's super windy all the time, hence why in the evenings it is cold and during the day you need to find a super sunny day to properly enjoy "summer". I've been told it gets better in Sept-Oct. Having said that, there are some amazing hikes and it's a good place to get lost in the desert. The town of Corralejo is the typical beach town, good mix of locals & foreigners. It was not too crowded - and COVID does not seem that serious there. Loved the canarios & the hospitality is next level. It really makes me want to spend a long season tin Tenerife or Gran Canaria, which I think have more things to do and a more diverse landscape

Lots of remote workers. Chill and sexy vibe with beautiful people everywhere. Very outgoing and buzzing. Mood is definitely watersports and a great place if you love surf, windsurf or kitesurf.

Great place to escape winter to. Vibe is surf and watersports oriented. Only one coworking space (Hub Fuerteventura) with great internet connection, +300Mbps
