Why do bolt or yandex driver have windows wide open in this cold weather. When ask them to close.. they close 1 windows than I ask to close all windows than he closes the last window a little bit more but not fully closed. This happens every 2nd ride I take

Initially, I was thinking of taking the bus, but now I'm wondering if Uber might be a better idea? Or take the bus to Varketili and then take the metro to Marjanishvili?

Pres. Zourabichvili has invited everyone to a street party tomorrow at Rustavelli, 7pm. But it's more for Georgians. The neighbours might use tear gas to make everyone go home late at night, so maybe you want to party somewhere else.

The best is probably something on facebook or telegram that I don't know about. But I follow a few accounts on twitter:
- FormulaGe
- Mikiashvili_M
- CivilGe
- Transparency_GE
- ralakbar (less Georgia focused, but active at the moment)

There's probably more, but they sort of retweet each other a bit so you can pick up more if you like.

Also, say the BBC I think has two correspondents here at the moment, so msm can be good especially if you want a video explainer of what's going on.

If you haven't seen, "partying" has started again after a fairly quiet week last week. Some talk of daily "parties" at 2pm (not sure why then, doubt will be big), and I guess likely other parties in the evening.

I don't see any evidence of it getting crazy / unsafe, and feels like it's going to be a slow burn thing for now.

"Events" down Rustavelli last night got more heated (water canon, tear gas, a few beatings, journalists targetted) than seen recently. Take a bit of extra caution if out late night / early morning.

But to keep it all in perspective, I wandered through at around 1am last night (later than I would recommend) and it was pretty chill, and Tbilisi overall is fine.

BBC has an English live video stream of the "events" via their site (impressively keeping the commentary going for hours seemingly). I think other Georgian channels do via facebook, but I assume in Georgian.

asked if it’s my first time going to Georgia at check in, after I said that I live temporarily there, they proceeded with checking in and told me that probably that’s ok then, but otherwise I have to have an insurance to go as they have a lot of people who were denied in entry because they didn’t have an insurance

"Denied entry because they didn't have an insurance" is a total bullshit, it's impossible. There are some cases of denying entry to citizens of Central Asian countries though (no one really knows why, Georgia just "doesn't like" them apparently).

I am not in Georgia atm, but Gudauri is likely to be overcrowded until Jan 12th (due to long New Year holidays in Russia). In that sense, Bakuriani might be better as it's farther from the Russian border and less known (and they have a good amount of snow this year unlike some of the previous years).
