Hi everyone!

I am planning to be in Mexico City in March.

I am wondering if you have any suggestions of places to go to try local foods and other general must-see and do things in CDMX.

I am also keen to learn more about places to eat good food at affordable prices for the day-to-day and what places would be nice to see to the nightlife can be bars, clubs or any other suggestions!

Thanks!
Luis...
Visit "Huerto Roma Verde" on a Saturday or Sunday during the day (usually from 11am onwards). They allegedly close at 8pm, but I think they often have concerts that keep the place open much later. It is a combination of wild mercado, and fun foods. And since it is in Roma, it is super easy to reach (most random CDMX visitors head towards Condessa or Roma).

Thanks fbducivcrtsi , noted! I am planning to be around that area. If anyone else has other tips, let me know!

Hi everyone, I'm in Guatemala now and I was thinking of Mexico for the next destination but apparently it's not that safe these days because the mafia killings. Is that the case? How's the situation there now?

Mexico is fine. The excitement is over. Don't let the media psyop you into thinking bad things or crime doesn't happen in every country.
Iโ€™m in Mexico, Isla Mujeres, Itโ€™s all good here
Hey - all! Caribbean born adventure seeker/ online business owner ehre looking to move out to Mexico City in a few months - Any advice on finding affordable places to stay? - i have some AirBnbs saved but I want to get a sense of the off market deals too
lolahht 2mo
Hey, depends on what youโ€™re looking for and most importantly where. CDMX has become quite expensive if you want to stay around Condesa/Roma/Polanco and there isnโ€™t really a way around that
I know some of my friends just shot their shot at Airbnb listings by asking if theyโ€™d be interested in renting long term outside of the platform to avoid fees (and sometimes taxes)
What locals do also is share apartments, you can look into that as well if youโ€™re open to the idea โ€ฆ
Thanks for the tips Lola! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ
Just arrived in Oaxaca. Will be here for a month. Down for any cool interesting meetups and such

Hello, I'm currently in MX and planned to stay a couple of months in PDC (or Tulum) starting from March 20th, to work from there and make good networking. Are some of you guys there? Is the nomads and digital community alive there? Do you have some tip on where and how creating connections?

Thank you so much ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hi all, do you suggest Mexico City as the best place to nomad in Mexico? Or any other locations / cities you all enjoy? Thank you โ˜บ๏ธ
imho, overrated location

- bad air and noise pollution
- horrible infrastructure for a city of such size
- locals hate nomads and least warm latinos that I've met

good things
- amazing food scene
- a lot of arts
- nice parties
I appreciate the honesty! Do you have any favorite or recommended locations? :)
Rio/Medellin/Lisbon/Barcelona/Buenos Aires
if you want something in Mexico, I enjoyed Oaxaca
Thank you so much โ˜บ๏ธ

If youโ€™re looking for a super modern city CDMX will not do it for you. But I do firmly believe CDMX is a great option as a digital nomad. There is plenty of things to do, opportunities to meet new people, great places to eat, etc.

I wouldnโ€™t say locals ยซย hateย ยป nomads. Itโ€™s just like in every other country, when foreigners come in and prices spike, obviously some of the locals might feels like theyโ€™re being chased from their own city or neighborhood.

Another great option for nomads is Puerto Escondido in the state of Oaxaca. There are a lot of nomads there, you have the beach, but itโ€™s also not super modern (though youโ€™ll find everything you need). Itโ€™s just more of a beach vibe, cafe working etc.

You could also try Puerto Vallarta. However Iโ€™ve just been many times to visit family and vacationing, so idk if there is a huge nomad scene there

Imho, the whole riviera Maya is not the best for the nomad activity. Most of the people there are vacationing, staying in resorts or partyingโ€ฆ
I am a Mexican myself, and was born in Cancun, and while beaches are splendid itโ€™s the place in Mexico I hate the most ๐Ÿ˜…
Thank you Lola ๐Ÿฅฐ

Does anyone know of a good place to good bikes in CDMX? I have Ecobici but am looking for something to use for workouts.
Where in Mexico city I could live safely and also walking distance to a padel club where I can train everyday?
sensaydan 19d
The normal areas expats move to are Juarez, Roma Norte, and condesa. A bit more upscale is polanco. There are padel clubs near each. Look on the playtomic app

The whole city is safe though. Can walk alone at night, catch public transport no problem

Hey, anyone in cdmx and down for a coworking session?

Also, are there any WhatsApp groups where people organize stuff? Nomadtable and Meetup seem kinda dead
Is WeWork still operating in CDMX?
Is anyone a member and can confirm current rates? Last time (2 years ago) I paid for monthly a โ€œhot-deskโ€ membership with access to all mexico offices and global offices : MX$3,795
Tax: MX$607
total:~ MX$4,402
(Was a great deal IMO as it included all workspaces globally, literally unlimited free coffee and snacks every now and then).
