I lived in lanzarote for two years and I while I loved it I don’t think you’d be satisfied with the city infrastructure. Not much “city” to be seen there. For me Las Palmas might even be a bit too much city but it’s definitely the most balanced island in my experience.

Can second GC/Las Palmas. Currently in Tenerife, seems more like a nursing home than anything else 🙃 Nature's beautiful, but Las Palmas feels like an actual city.
