Hello everyone, I'm gonna go to Serbia, Belgrade very soon and heard about registration there within 24hours of arrival. Does anyone know how it works? Actually staying in bnb but host told me "white card" or bella karta is required for up to 3 month stay... does anyone know about it?thanks a lot!

Every foreign visitor is required by law to be registered in the city they are staying in. You can't do it yourself. Either hotel or apartment owner must do that in the local police station. As an outcome you will have a piece of paper confirming your registration (beli karton).

Technically you may be asked to show it if you are stopped by the police or during the border cross. In reality it almost never happens. I have lived in the country for over 4 years and I wasn't asked for it a single time. And I cross the border like 20-30 times a year.

Worst case scenario if it's a really unlucky phase of the moon and official demands the paper no matter what, it'd be a fairly small fine you will have to pay it officially (not a bribe) via bank.

PS. I'm not a lawyer and this is not an official recommendation. Just make sure you fully understand the risks and potential outcome. And it's probability.

PPS. It's different in Montenegro in the past year. Those guys started to enforce the rule quite aggressively.

Hi guys, anyone here who brought their drone into Serbia before? I'm traveling to Belgrade on Monday, but heard customs are quite strict. Not sure if I should risk bringing my Mini 5 Pro or not.

The law is strict. You must notify local militaries about your flights upfront, get some approvals, etc. I even tried contacting them, but nobody ever answers to the official emails I found in the internet.

In reality nobody cares. Just don't fly in the forbidden zones (around airport / military bases / etc).

I regularly go in and out with my drone. Like I crossed the border with it dozens of times throughout the past few years. Nobody asked any questions.

I heard they can check your luggage at customs at the airport and confiscate it. That‘s my main worry.

I've never heard a single story about it. Neither experienced it myself. And I lived 4 years in Serbia, so I know some people from there.

I use Airbnb. What you can do is book something short term on Airbnb make friends with the landlord then pay them in cash - many accept that
