How is the protest situation in Belgrade at the moment, for people who are there currently?

The protests are not violent at all. As long as you stay away from the actual epicenter of the particular event it's very safe. Even if you stay inside it is still very safe, however there were cases when foreigners were asked out of country due to participation in the protests. It is more related to people with residence permit rather than temporary visitors. The only real inconvenience is that some roads or venues might be closed.
