Hello everyone, I'm gonna go to Serbia, Belgrade very soon and heard about registration there within 24hours of arrival. Does anyone know how it works? Actually staying in bnb but host told me "white card" or bella karta is required for up to 3 month stay... does anyone know about it?thanks a lot!

Every foreign visitor is required by law to be registered in the city they are staying in. You can't do it yourself. Either hotel or apartment owner must do that in the local police station. As an outcome you will have a piece of paper confirming your registration (beli karton).

Technically you may be asked to show it if you are stopped by the police or during the border cross. In reality it almost never happens. I have lived in the country for over 4 years and I wasn't asked for it a single time. And I cross the border like 20-30 times a year.

Worst case scenario if it's a really unlucky phase of the moon and official demands the paper no matter what, it'd be a fairly small fine you will have to pay it officially (not a bribe) via bank.

PPS. It's different in Montenegro in the past year. Those guys started to enforce the rule quite aggressively.
