I think rats are cute
I used to have pet rats, very lovable
Hole of friends
This is where rat wqs running all night in low celling. It was the wwworst travel hotel experience in my life
Sorry rats are such a big fear for you, wish I could pass on my perception of them. Pigeons too, both get a bad rap
Wish you to experience rat running all night in low celling.

โ—๏ธDa Nang is getting three new direct routes this spring โ€” and this is just the beginning

Marchโ€“April 2026: three airlines launching Da Nang routes simultaneously.

What's opening:
๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฉ Bali โ†’ Da Nang | Indonesia AirAsia | from March 20 | 4x per week | 2.5 hours
๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Vientiane โ†’ Da Nang | Lao Airlines | from March 29 | 2x per week | 1h 20min
๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ Manila โ†’ Da Nang | AirAsia | from March 20 | 4x per week

What this changes:
Baliโ€“Da Nang is the first ever direct flight between the two biggest beach capitals of Southeast Asia. Before, you flew via Kuala Lumpur or Singapore with layovers up to 8 hours. Now it's 2.5 hours straight.
โ€‹
Bonus: via Bali you can now connect to Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne โ€” Da Nang just got a link to Australia ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ

Da Nang in 2026 is no longer just your favorite vietnam beach city. It's a real aviation hub stretching in four directions at once

โ—๏ธHCMC by end of 2026: 5G for 95% of residents and Vietnam's first 6G pilot โ€” while Europe is still finishing 5G

Feb 24 the city approved its digital transformation plan under Resolution โ„–57.

What's coming:

๐ŸŸฃ 5G โ€” 95% population coverage, 100% in ports, airports and hi-tech zones

๐ŸŸฃ 6G โ€” pilot in selected districts this year

๐ŸŸฃ Hyperscale data centers >100 MW
โ€‹
๐ŸŸฃ Saigon Hi-Tech Park โ€” 195ha expansion, $725M budget

๐ŸŸฃ Target โ€” top 50 smart cities in the world

What this actually means for daily life:
Mobile speeds 10-20x faster than 4G โ€” but forget the tech specs. Practically: no more buffering on video calls at a bรกnh mรฌ stall, instant maps and navigation through peak-hour traffic, seamless connectivity across the densest neighbourhoods in the city. Longer term: real-time drone deliveries, remote-controlled medical procedures, smart traffic lights that actually reduce jams.

Saigon is building Singapore-level infrastructure โ€” at a fraction of Singapore's cost of living.

For our first day the wifi is nice! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
I bought sim card in da nang airport and i have to say that internet is extremly fast
tristant 21d
tip btw for those landing at da nang airport: don't buy your sim card right where the baggage pickup area is (after immigration), but go outside through customs, turn left and ask one of the currency exchange offices for a sim card. They sell them for way less and no passport or anything asked

Hey guys anyone can give me a little bit of guidance where is the place to be between Hoi An & Da Nang for a good balance between getting what you need for work and gym and also not being in a too busy place at the same time ? Preferably not too far from the beach?
minonomad 14d
And is it a nice place to be right now? How is the climate?
ruslanche 14d
Not yet, but almost. Good weather from April

Can someone help? Apparently I have 45 days' visa free entry to Vietnam. Do I still need to fill in an โ€œarrival formโ€ or something similar somewhere online prior to arrival or not? I'm getting contradicting information online. I would hate to arrive and then have to do it in the immigration line. Thanks ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
guido 14d
I usually check iatatravelcenter dot com -> I canโ€™t see any info regarding an โ€œarrival formโ€, hence I assumed I donโ€™t need one. If anyone who recently entered the country has first hand info, please let me know.
ruslanche 14d
recently Vietnam extend for many countries "visa for arrival" and nothing to do from you side on immigration line
guido 14d
I fall into this category: "Vietnam currently exempts citizens of 23 European countries from visa requirements for tourism stays of up to 45 days.

Exempt Countries
- United Kingdom
- Germany
- France
- Spain
- Italy
- Russia
- Belarus
- Norway
- Sweden
- Denmark
- Finland
- Belgium
- Bulgaria
- Croatia
- Czech Republic
- Switzerland
- Luxembourg
- Hungary
- Netherlands
- Poland
- Romania
- Slovakia
- Slovenia

Key Details
These exemptions apply to ordinary passport holders entering for tourism, effective through at least August 2028 for most recent additions (e.g., the 12-country expansion from August 15, 2025). Passports must have at least 6 months validity, and travelers must meet standard entry conditions. Longer stays require a visa.โ€
guido 14d
So it's clear that I don't need a โ€œvisa on arrivalโ€. My question is if it's necessary to fill in an โ€œonline arrival formโ€, which is standard procedure in many other countries, eg Thailand, China, UK, etc. I currently assume there is no such thing in Vietnam.
danamo 14d
No I have not filled in any arrival card in Vietnam in my few entrances in the last year
danamo 14d
I am also in that visa free category, just to clarify that itโ€™s the same situation
simona11 14d
I arrived today and no form needed, just patience at immigration ๐Ÿ™ˆ
dianee 13d
Ohhh no how long did it take?
ruslanche 13d
Sorry dude i confuse "visa on arrival 45 days" and "stamp on arrival 45 days". Sure i mean stamp
ruslanche 13d
1 minute takes from you give pasport and get back
danamo 13d
After you are in line for like 30 minutes you mean
ruslanche 13d
Yeah. Time in line not include)) it depends from places, arrival time and etc)

danamo 10d
I donโ€™t know if itโ€™s for everybody but I got some solid work done in a few highland coffee. The one on the south side of the river, west of the old town, is pretty chill in the morning, the area gets crowded in the evening though. Thereโ€™s also a more crowded one a bit north of that that is closer to Madam Khahn which I just couldnโ€™t help but eat at every single day so I often took my chances with the crowd :D

Hi! Guys, could you advise me good places to eat and coworking in Ho Chi Minh (District 1, 3)?
Any tips for nice food/cafes/things to do on the west side of Da Nang (across the river)? Walked along the riverside last night and realised I maybe like that side of town better than the touristy beach-side, but no idea where else to explore there
It's now possible to get Vietnamese bank cards with an e-Visa. If you need more details and how to get one easily, I can share my post.

โ—๏ธโ—๏ธโ—๏ธYES, FOREIGNERS CAN NOW GET A VIETNAMESE BANK CARD โ€” AND HERE'S WHY IT ACTUALLY MATTERS

Vietnam changed the law, and foreigners can now open a local bank account. Not "maybe if you're lucky" โ€” for real. People are already walking into banks, showing their documents, and leaving with a card a few days later.

One visit to the bank is all it takes. You need your passport, a 3-month e-visa, and just 50,000 VND to get the card issued. Vietcombank and BIDV are currently the most foreigner-friendly โ€” no drama, no runaround.

Step-by-step guide โ€” which bank to pick, what to bring, and what to do if they give you a hard time: letfind.me/en/hints/vietnam-how-get-bank-card/
in few days im post here something great for those who looking accomodations
markus 8d
Amazing, you didn't mention the biggest benefit - that foreigners can pay via QR code in Vietnam, right?
markus 8d
Workflow Cafe. Eat: Pho Hoa, Pasteur street. Prem bistro. Pizza4P. Cuc Gach Quan (Dang Tat street). The Jade Banh Sau Rieng (if you like durian). Hoang Try Restaurant.
Hey guys staying in Hoi An for a bit anyone here who wants to connect and have a coffee sometime?
a tourist visa is enough to open a bank account ?
You could already do that as a foreigner using the Moreta Pay app, works great you deposit money and you can pay everywhere that accepts QR code

Whoโ€™s been to Thailand and Vietnam for a significant period of time and can compare the two in terms of A. hospitality/friendliness and B. ease of communication in English (scale from 1-10)?
It doesnโ€™t work with Revolut, maybe with Wise. It seems to be mainly designed for Americans. You have to transfer USD first and then convert it to VND using their exchange rate, which of course isnโ€™t great.
A. It Depends from area Thailand. And my opinion Thai peoples more friendly outside, but meaner inside. Vietnamese opposite. B. 7 for Thai. 5 for Vietnam
A. Vietnam is 10x better
B. Thai little more English but in Vietnam people take time to understand and nowadays with translate I donโ€™t face any issueses
Hello, Iโ€™m looking for a modern apartment with a sea side view in Da Nang, is the budget 20-30 million good for it? 1-2br anything I should keep in mind? Got some offers from Facebook but it seems different people try to rent the same apartment and Iโ€™m worry if this is not a scam or something ๐Ÿ˜…
guido 4d
Maybe consider a hotel, many offer insane deals: if you are into fitness, IMO the best affordable, modern hotels in Da Nang with a good gym & large pool for swimming are the ones below.

7-night stay with breakfast:

Wink Hotel Danang Centre (Opened 11/2022) โ€“ $210

Hilton Garden Inn Da Nang (Opened 5/2023) โ€“ $530

Novotel Danang Premier Han River (Renovated 2022) โ€“ $670

Crowne Plaza Danang City Centre (Opened 2025) โ€“ $740
Ok cool, thanks!
Guys, the rental situation in Da Nang is pretty confusing right now โ€“ โ€œforeigner pricesโ€, random extra fees, agents pushing weird deals.

I ended up collecting some notes for myself about whatโ€™s a normal price by area, typical tricks, and what to doubleโ€‘check before signing. Figured it might help someone else too, so I put it here:
https://letfind.me/en/prices/danang-realty/

On that page:

โ€ข rough price ranges by district and type of place

โ€ข common tricks (electricity, deposits, โ€œservice feesโ€, etc.)

โ€ข a live feed of current Da Nang listings in one place, so you donโ€™t have to dig through a dozen groups

If you notice anything off or have more examples from your building/area, drop a comment there or here โ€“ Iโ€™ll keep updating it.
Hey folks! Has anyone here done a border run at Moc Bai recently, especially for same-day return?

I'm trying to decide if it's safe and easy to do it entirely on my own, or if I should do it through an agency (considering the risk of applying for visa while still in Vietnam).

Any recent personal experiences? Thanks!
sama96 2d
Hi, has anyone bought m5 max/pro MacBook in Vietnam? Canโ€™t find it anywhere in hcmc
So after some research it seems to boil down to same-day visa processing. So have to rely on an agency.

I spoke to a couple of agencies that do this and their prices vary from $80-$160.

Is that the expected rate? Any recommendations?
