I’m planning my very first trip to Malaysia as a digital nomad and would love to get some advice from people who’ve already spent time there.

From what I’ve read, popular spots seem to be Kuala Lumpur, Penang (George Town), and maybe even places like Langkawi, Johor Bahru, or Cyberjaya. But since it’s my first time, I’d like to hear directly from the community:
• Which city in Malaysia has the strongest digital nomad community and the best chance to actually meet like-minded people?
• Is Kuala Lumpur better for networking and co-working, while Penang has more of a relaxed vibe?
• Any places you personally recommend for first-timers to settle in and find “your people”?

I’m looking not only for good internet and affordable cost of living, but also for community and connection. Meeting other nomads, joining events, and feeling part of the local scene is important for me.
