Be careful about the requirements for the ‘digital nomad’ visa. I couldn’t get it because I’m a freelancer.
And I think you can only apply at the embassy of your home country.

Thank you. I own a company and also have a freelancing contract. In theory you should be able to apply from Korea , my embassy doesn’t even reply to emails. But I’m aware it could be denied.. also because I’m apply with my common in law partner, but Korea doesn’t officially recognise it as Family.

My girlfriend has a student visa and speaks Korean very well.
After one year on a Working Holiday visa and being ineligible for the Digital Nomad visa as a freelancer, I’ll try to stay with a 90-day tourist visa until the end of the year by taking short trips to Japan and other nearby countries.

Hi everyone! I'm planning to go to Busan in May (whole month), but I'm unsure whether to stay in Haeundae or Gwangalli. Has anyone been and can recommend one over the other?

I like it lively, preferably with affordable food options nearby, and would love to meet some people too to explore with since I'll be traveling alone (so probably good if the area has some internationals/travellers as well, since I don't speak Korean 🤔)

I'd love to stay near the beach, but no must if neither is area is a good choice in your opinions.
Gwangalli might be better because closer to the city centre? But Haeundae more International/lively?

I got it by applying directly at the immigration office in Seoul.
But it took about 4 months of preparing documents needed (did it all remotely while in SEA)

I’m currently trying to submit this application in South Korea as well. I also need to be patient while gathering all the required documents, especially the criminal record extract, as I need to get the original with an apostille from France…

In France, they immediately identified that I'm a freelancer, and my visa was denied.

In South Korea, they don’t differentiate between my company and the fact that I’m a freelancer. However, they are very strict about the apostilled document, so yes, it takes time to collect the original documents from your home country when you’re abroad.

I provided a proof of funds from my bank and my tax certificate to prove my income, and they told me it was fine.

That was yesterday, during the first appointment—nothing is 100% certain yet. I still need to submit the criminal record extract with the apostille.

yeah I waited 4 months for my criminal clearance certificate with apostille. Hopefully France is faster. 🙏

Anyone here have experience buying extra luggage at AirAsiania?
I bought tickets for the 29th April (Narita -> Incheon) and (Incheon -> London).
I have 1 Check in Bag, but I need one more for my Skis, but when I try to purchase it it refuses to let me. 🤷

Has anyone here stayed the full visa-free duration? The entry sticker in my passport says “Until May 23”. Does that mean I can leave on that date, or do I have to leave before that date - May 22?
