I've stayed in probably almost 10 airbnbs in Santa Cruz. The internet has generally been fine for my purposes. I'm not doing anything that requires super high speed or super low latency, but it's been fine for working remotely. I think there was just one AirBnB where the wi-fi wasn't great, and sadly, it was controlled by the building, not the host, so there wasn't anything that could be done about it.

What I'd say is... there are places with good Wi-Fi but your luck will vary depending on where you're staying. It never hurts to ask before you reserve.
