anybody in taiwan from next week? I'll be visiting multiple cities over the span of two weeks.

Hoping to make some friends!

Lunar New Year is upcoming, does anyone have ideas of how to make the most of this event

- Check out the new years' market on Dihua Street before the holiday
- Visit some famous temples at midnight on new years' eve or the following few days if you'd like to see what people are up to and feel the buzz
- Buy some lottery tickets and scratch with the masses
- Expect hotels, trains, etc. to be super rammed, so book in advance if you might go somewhere (it gets easier later into the new years' break)
- Many businesses and restaurants will be closed for the first few days but night markets will always be open (and packed with people)
- Taipei sorta empties out as many people return to their families in other parts of the country but Monga (around Longshan Temple) will be busy
- if you're in Tainan the major night markets are usually open every day (as opposed to the usual rotating schedule)

I’ll be back to south Taiwan after the lunar new years break after Feb 3. If you ever thinking visiting the southern part I could suggest some places or even meet up!

ah i already left Taiwan, but i visited Tainan and Kaohsiung. It was really great!

What’s a good Coworking spot in Taipei? Looking for a change in scenery from the one I usually go to.

Not really a coworking spot, but i really enjoy working at Komeda’s Coffee. They have sort of like per person seating arrangement

I liked these in Japan, interesting to know they exist in Taiwan too

I really enjoyed working from the Hive. Not overly crowded, good vibe, and 24h access if you get a monthly subscription
