Anyone great at sales/marketing? Need to level up there

Hi everyone, I am seeking for advice/training recommendation here as a therapist who struggle as a nomad, and therefore redefining my professional goals.
as many of your have found the geographic and financial freedom, what would be according to you the fastest route to become a digital nomad without being trained in IT/digital field ? What are the available course that allow to start a career online (dig design? Dig Marketing? Copyrighting? Etc)

As stupid as it sounds, for me it started with heavy self-brainwashing with books like “The Magic of Thinking Big”, “Psycho Cybernatics”, and stuff from Tony Robbins. I.e. first step is to absolutely convince yourself that you are already a successful nomad, have a good life, do what you want etc. Traditional psychology is “too realistic” for that, and at least for me only such cheesy books/audio materials help me align myself with my new desired vision for myself. I don’t know if it will help you, but helped me for sure: I was doing this when working a full-time on site job in Berlin in 2014, and since 2017 I’m mostly nomadic, happy with what I do.

And then in terms of specific courses, it depends on what you want to learn. You mentioned design for example. Lately I’m teaching myself UX/UI, and really like going through Figma course form “Bring your own laptop” (there is a free good demo part on YT, that’s how I found that course). Go to YT, find the free course in area that interests you, and most likely there is a “premium membership” version of that off YT, that you can use to properly learn a new skill.

You definitely can be an online therapist so no need to change your whole career field.

You just will need to learn ‘business owner’ skills - a bit of marketing, a bit of sales, entrepreneur skills

Thx Bethan, if i wrote for advice its because it’s been a struggle since 3 years despite having learnt those skills, or not bringing enough concrete income to sustain myself. I’m not in the insurance system. Therapy is quite a different deal than other online business. So I’m looking into options.

Yeah I’ve worked with online therapists before so I’m super familiar.
Honestly if concrete income is the problem then sales/marketing is the fix. Not a shift in career.

If you want a change because you don’t want to do therapy online anymore…absolutely fine! But if it’s because it’s a fix to this problem unfortunately it might not work out that simply.
