Was there end of October last year and it was suuuper warm and GORGEOUS! I remember my Airbnb host mentioning you can still swim there in December!! Honestly would probably be a really good time w it being off season as well.

Down to arrange something in Kadıköy, seems most nomads stay there as well from what I’ve read so far here. lmk if anyone has a fav spot that’d be good to meet at and I can propose the meetup officially?

Weekends are perfect for me as well so we can plan for that if it works for anyone else interested in joining :)

On the 29th, there's a Republic Day celebration in Istanbul, and I arrive in the city that day at 6:00 PM. I've heard traffic can be very heavy. For getting from the airport (Sabina Gökçen) to accommodation in the city center, would you recommend Uber, a taxi, or the train and metro? Thanks in advance!

Marmaray would be best, it's super easy from SAW

That is not correct. Marmaray (commuter train) doesn't extend to SAW. You can instead take the regular subway all the way to Kadıköy if staying there otherwise change to Marmaray to get to the European side.

I stayed in Konyaaltı while there and don’t regret it one bit.

Have also heard good things about Coworking Antalya though, I know a lot of folks stay closer to that area for the community aspect.

Bebek (higher budget)
Taksim
Levent / Etiler / Ulus as it is winter and one may not chose to be next to the Bosporus and you will also have Metro Access
Tepebasi / Beyoğlu / Taksim in you really wanna be in a more authentic atmosphere
Nişantaşı - kind of London’s Bond Steer Atmosphere (just nicer in my view )
I’m also visiting Istanbul these days (lived here 21 years before, now in Thailand)
So feel free to ask anything
And moreover if we have more people in Istanbul

Take a train to Eskişehir! It’s beautiful.

You can go around Abant Lake which is an amazing nature
This is not the season so I’d advice to check before you go as for what’s open and available
