Going to do a 3 day stopover in Istanbul in June, first time going there. Will mostly be a tourist visit. Any tips on places to visit, areas to stay in (or avoid) etc - please share. More a casual pace, not worried about party scene etc.

You should visit Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, and Topkapi Palace — since they’re all in the same area it’s easy to explore them together and they’re some of the main attractions in Istanbul

For accommodation you can stay in the Şişhane area — it’s close to the Old City and the metro lively 24/7 and convenient for getting around

we checked out all coworking spaces on the European side and by far the best was CoBaC where we stayed for a month - if you’re closer to Levent ImpactHub would be our first spot though followed by KollektifHouse

It's not perfect, although good enough

I couldn't get the 10day or monthly pass with passport, so I used a Turkish friend's account.
Their staff don't know english at all ((:

Internet is not bad. Sometimes it gets disconnected (mostly at midnight)
People talk freely in every area, even the silent zone

It's good that it is 24/7.

you can find all that in Bodrum but its best known for night life, i recommend end of august and September due to weather but thats just me. august is a prime time and everything is pricey for me. Im at Akbük, small town

Hi, I usually go to Kolektif House - Moda branch. You can download their app Koplanet to create day passes and see different locations. Moda branch is right by the sea, they bought an old mansion so the place is beautiful.

There’s also Levent branch of theirs as well as other options like Han Spaces (Nisbetiye one is really nice and comes with a nice smash burger place in front), Workinton, or Cobac.
