I am traveling to Bali for a month with my wife and kid. My family will be joining me in the last week.

I am looking to book a nice pool villa that is suitable for month long stays.

Any place/villa recommendations that could fit my needs? If you've stayed before/experienced a property first hand, that would be even better.

I stay in this area, deliveries no problem at all. And grab/gojek can get any time of day but is sometimes a 5min wait as they're often coming from main road. Feel free to dm me if end up staying here for cafe/resto recommendations etc

Kuta is pretty raw. Doesn't have the same infrastructure as Bali

Guys what you prefer Uluwatu or Canggu for living?

Ulu has better beaches but I feel like they just demolish all the places the locals lived so it feels faker than Canggu. Canggu is unabashedly fake but still has lovely local compounds everywhere which give it a better vibe.

I came to Canggu and I am not impressed. I like the food here and is cheaper than Europe. I like there is a big community. But I am not impressed with Canggu.

For good wifi and nomad community I think Canggu is the best. Plus so long as you don’t need to use the shortcut the traffic isn’t as bad as Ubud.

In Uluwatu not so good WiFi?

I moved to Ulu from Canggu recently, and wifi in Ulu is faster, but it usually depends on the exact place where you stay 🙃

Hey Software Engineer here planning to go to Thailand or Indonesia in May to work remotely for a month. I would be going solo and my plan would be to meet new people and work from there. I have been told that Bali is not what it used to be (I have never been there) and I was wondering what you would do in my situation.

- Where to go
- Accommodation tips
- Where to meet other digital nomads (I believe coworkings)
- My plan would be to work CEST timezone which is not great. Is there people there doing kind of the same thing? Or normally people remote work on the Bali timezone?

try jogja in java island. pretty cheap, the vibe is good. transport is easy using grab / gojek. coworking spaces are abundant. airbnb for monthly stay should be good and budget friendly
