Hey everyone! Has anyone had experience re-entering Indonesia after a longer stay?

My current plan is:

- Lombok: November 1–December 1, 2026
- Extend my stay and spend another 1–2 weeks in Bali
- Leave Indonesia in mid-December
- Return around May 2027 for another one-month stay

Assuming I have the correct visa, valid onward ticket, accommodation, enough funds, and no overstay, is there any meaningful risk of being denied entry after roughly five months outside Indonesia?

Hi Phil. The issue with Bali is that it's now saturated with nomads. Have you been here before? If not, you will be surprised. Being a DN here is not niche, it's the norm.

I think that's why you didn't get a response. You asked if there are any content creators around. For those that are here, we know that there are a ton of them.

I'd recommend you just walk into a coworking space, cafe or similar establishment and just start talking to people. Basically everyone here is working online.

Best IMO is Bwork but you can try Tribal, Omni, etc

Uluwatu or Balian if you like surfing and nice beaches, Canggu if you like traffic jams, traffic accidents, pollution, noise and beach clubs built on sea turtle nesting grounds. Munggu or more North if you want to see a glimpse of what Canggu must have heen like 30 years ago.

Central Bali village far away from Ubud if you actually want to experience Bali and Indonesian people.

Canggu traffic is an absoulute nightmare but it's still the main digital nomad hub in Bali, Ubud is also good if that's your vibe but other areas like Uluwatu are more spread out

Actually guys today I landed in Canggu and the traffic IS actually that bad.

The overall vibe and mood is exceptional. Really look forward to enjoying my 3 weeks in Bali.

Hi I stayed in both Cangu and Pererenan, I would prefer Pererenan. Its near the ocean. There is a nice coliving place Tribal, Wrong gym, The Path yoga center also a padel place there. Very nice place to stay
