Tribal is super aesthetic. It is the core Canggu influencer crowd where everyone walks around without a shirt. The wifi also goes out all the time but fortunately at the street entrance to tribal there is another coworking which has a generator.

I stayed there for 2 weeks, as my 1st experience in a coliving it was ok, good room with a simple kitchen, and cozy Coworking area as well. The one I stayed was small and there were no many people, I know there are some other Bustle units kinda close to each other

Register your IMEI in the airport, then go to check-in and walk out to the nearest AC kiosk like Alfamart. They sell monthly plans, price is around or under 5 USD per month.

Oops! If you write in the evening, you probably already left airport. Not sure that simcards will work for you now! It's much hastle if you missed registering in the airport.

They realized that providing insurance resulted in much higher damage rates for the bikes. Now it’s your responsibility.

And better to have of course a valid international driving license if you want your own insurance to cover you and your responsibility if you hurt others in case something goes wrong.

I think mostly it’s a low margin business and no local is gonna spend big money on insurance for their little rental business. Repairs are mostly cheap anyway

In Nusa Pendia. I found a very good place named Umah Prahu. The villa by the beach side is cheap. The wifi is good. There is a mini sitting place outside. Its like about 15$ a night cheap. A weird part is no reception, nothing lol. The hotel owner is whatsapp person and the cleaners come in morning. that's it. but its very well maintained. :)

I feel you mostly need to focus on finding a good school for first lessons, they will arrange best time with the tide suitable for your skills. I had my first lessons in Seminyak (same coast as yours) and it was pleasant. If you will be nearby, I highly recommend https://maps.app.goo.gl/XNVCo6KLb9EcidyQ8. They are pricey but the difference between instructing here and in the cheaper school was very noticecable. As for Legian, I heard it's nice when you are already confident with the board.

I only stayed in Bali for a month. Had about 3 lessons with Da Waves, then moved out from Seminyak and tried a closer and cheaper school and lack of progress killed my motivations. Same for my girlfriend, we both were newbies.

With Da Waves instructor pushed us to new tides and he had a plan, a cheaper school was usually ready to go to the water right now no matter how sea felt. But it can be different with other schools. I really felt Da Waves was higher than every other school in that area. Maybe if you really want to commit, you can start with one lesson, see if it's yours and buy a bundle with 4–6 lessons on the spot. I regret I haven't done it, maybe I'd surf until the end of my trip.

I've got 5 nights booked at Tribal Bali to start, just wondering where to go after that?

Should I just find somewhere near B-Work for the other 14 nights? Or go check out another part of the island? Feel like Cenggu is probably the place to be for nomads, but not keen on the parties and crazy Australians 😬

It's really up to you. Canggu is definitely the densest area for nomads. To avoid the 'crazy Australians', just don't go to Kuta
