Hi Dubai friends! I'm visiting Dubai for the first time, and heard a lot about the benefits of setting up a company here. So now I'm looking into that. Anyone from here have any experience in setting up that could give me a couple of pointers?

Hey guys! I'm planning to "slowmad" and the advice I've received is to get a UAE personal tax residency, to stay above board, get a TRC. So I'm planning to move my business (currently a UK Ltd Co.) to the UAE and spend 90 days a year there to meet their tax residency requirements.

Anyone have a similar experience? If so would love to hear how you've done it!

Has anyone here recently applied for a UAE Virtual Work visa? Have they unofficially stopped issuing them? I'm reading about too many applications being rejected online, and some people are saying they have temporarily stopped issuing them.

Well when you click into it it said "Profession not allowed" but I saw on Reddit that several people had this same error message even when it had nothing to do with their profession (like they just selected the wrong passport type)

And the first round of customer support also said they can’t see the issue and it just says General Issue for them. Then they forwarded me and no one picked up there

Also, did you attach Salary Certificate? I have found that also being a reason for rejections

If I were you, I would keep bugging the support to get a reply or get a chance to modify the application

It could be. But at this point I’m thinking do I want to really spend 80€ several more times to figure it out or just pay a bit more right away to a company to submit the application for me
