I had a private tuktuk driver to take me around to the different sites. And if you want a tour guide, there should be a bunch nearby.

I originally planned to do 2 or 3 days, but I cut my second day short because I felt I’d seen enough lol. Not much to see in my opinion past the top 3-5 sites on your list, unless you’re a huge temple fan. So one day is definitely doable unless you want to see every single site.

A private tuktuk driver or a private driver is the best option (they will most likely be able to offer it to you as a package containing all the sites located next to each other), as suggested above. It's not going to be expensive, and you'll have the opportunity to do it at your own pace. One small life hack: everyone goes to Angkor Wat itself in the morning, while it's much less crowded later in the day (also hotter though). I am not so sure what's so special about the sunrise at Angkor Wat; to me, it felt just like an unreasonable thing to do.

For the main site (Angkor Wat itself), one day is more than enough, but there are many other sites worth a visit. I am a relatively fast walker/explorer, and 2 days were optimal for me (and on the third day, I got food poisoning 😂). Not all the sites are indeed that impressive, but I actually quite liked a few lesser popular ones because of the serene, peaceful atmosphere with fewer people around. And it's also extremely hot, so you will certainly be chilling somewhere in the shade A LOT and that also consumes time.

Yea, I found one day enough! I liked the morning as I got to a lot of the spots before tour groups/they got busy

It's me wrote and my opinion the same after sunset be careful at riverside most dangerous place. My good advice visit restaurant Istanbul or Greek restaurant both located same place. If you have enough time you can visit zoo outside the city around 30 km

Rent a place in BKK1 as its nice and less hectic then riverside. Only around riverside I felt that someone would pick my pockets.

Grab tuktuk is your best friend, on street tuktuk would take 4-5$ and grab tuktuk is around 1.5-2$

Local food is ok-ish imho, lots of western restaurants are actually nice (either in grab or in restaurants)
