Hey everyone! Iโ€™m in a small beach town near Arequipa. Anyone in the area?
maristia 4mo
Heading to Arequipa next week if anyone's around
nataly 4mo
You should stop by Kafi Wasi coffee shop. Their Cacao Nitro Cold Brew is soooo delish.

Any other recs? ๐Ÿ˜Š
I lived in Arequipa for 11 months and the following must be tried: Rocotto relleno( if you can handle some spice the dish is native to ARQPA), Ceviche, Lomo Saltado, Pisco Sour cocktail, Chicha Morada

Yanahuara Plaza for Queso Helado or to chill and grab a cup of coffee

Climbing part way up Mt Chachani or Misti

Colca Canyon (1, 2 or 3 day trip) - 1 day will be spent all in the car tho

Take the next items with a grain of salt as I lived there 10 years ago

Misti Pizza was great and had my favorite Chicha Morada

Mundo Alpaca to see animals and learn about the textile production

Oh def!
- Queso Helado from Dona Rosa on the second floor of Mercado San Camilo
- Pasta/Pizzas: Il Caffe Della Nonna, 13 Mojas, Pasta Canteen
- Coffee shops: Kaffeehaus, Kafi Wasi, Berakah Coffee, Masamama
- Chachani was so fun and challenging to trek but really cool experience
- Try a Saltena near the mercado. They are empanadas filled with potatoes and meat.
- Go to Yanahuara during sunset. It's so pretty there.
- Not sure if you're staying in hostels, airbnbs, or hotels but if you stay at the Hampton Inn they have hot tubs on the rooftop that you can use. Beautiful views from up there.
- Try pastel de papa at a restaurant not at the mercado.

Lovely! Thanks

Anyone in Cusco? Arriving next Tuesday for a month.
Also, any tips and recs welcome! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜
None of them in Brazil ? ๐Ÿ˜’

If you rank by these 9 criteria, apparently not. If you do the same ranking for November - January, then you will for sure have to include some cities in Brazil.

Do the Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu if you have time! Epic trek
Hey everyone,

My wife and I are looking for a place to stay for 3โ€“4 monthsโ€”anywhere is fine, as long as itโ€™s nice and has a workspace.

Do you know of any good places for this?

Hey ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ
Im thinking about coming to coscu in June.
Howโ€™s the internet in general? Can I just book an Airbnb with WiFi or should I double check speed (for video meetings etc)?
Hi Jakob. Internet in Cuzco is normally as good as anywhere else. However, normally in Peru upload speeds are a bit slow given the fact that most places are copper wired. That should be enough to sustain video meetings, but probably gaming and streaming would be a challenge.

Alright! Should work well enough then. Thanks :)

Hey! Has anyone found any good coffee tours? I want to travel to the coffee region of Peru and would love some advice.
Pisac and Urubamba. What is better?
Depends on how long youโ€™re looking to stay and what you want to see and explore. I would say Pisac is a little more vibrant than Urubamba but still pretty quiet if youโ€™re looking to spend a few days in either one of them

If anyone is in Lima next week on the 16th there's a coffee conference going on with a bunch of speakers. The tickets are free but you just need to register

Any travellers in Cusco in August ?
Hey everyone! I need to leave some luggage for a couple of weeks in Lima. Any recommendations to where best do this? Thanks!
Hi Everyone, howโ€™s working from Lima? How long do you recommend staying and where? Do you recommend any other places in Peru to work from?
Also, from Peru where do you recommend I go next?
I liked Arequipa
Lima is nice but so dark and cloudy itโ€™s depressing
khizrs 6d
I went to Bolivia then Brazil
khizrs 6d
Southern brazil has a very high quality of life compared to Peru and Bolivia
Leave extra luggage at your hotel you stayed at. Book the same hotel again for when you come back and most hotels are totally ok with keeping your luggage free of charge.
Yes thatโ€™s the idea I had, but most of the time on booking and so on you canโ€™t sent a message before doing the reservation
Lima I didn't like, but you can work from there. Arequipa and Cusco very nice to work from.
Thanks Martin. And internet works well?
