If you managed to set up Wise Business account then you have to provide them your trading address. Most governments also require you to provide a physical address, even if you're a freelancer working from home. That's what you should pass to Wise. Even if you're normally roaming around the world.

Registering a limited company is, IMHO, much better. Mine is registered in the UK. And I pay for a virtual office that works as my trading/registration address. And invoice and records in Companies House (UK registry) is enough for my Wise Business account.

What's your situation, Alex?

If you're into hiking you can take a bus here and then a great walk through the valley into Slovenia (no border crossing just an abandoned customs post)

German Passport, no residency right now, Oรœ in estonia, no tax residency, traveling country to county (3 months tops in one place), european clients.

UK sounds interesting! Wonder if it would work to obtain a trading address there even with the Oรœ
Thanks for the details. I messaged you directly, as I'm open to chat about your situation.
I highly recommend Nine Coliving in La Orotava. I've stayed there for over a year during the pandemic. Met my best friends, with whom Iโ€™m still in touch. For me, there's no better community-first coliving. It's also close enough to Puerto de la Cruz and other surf spots around the island. Are you already on the island?
I decided to go to Gran Canaria first, considering Tenerife for August or September

Their website is the best resource
https://www.movistar.es/tarifas-moviles/esim

You can use a translator to read it.

In the esim Q&A, it states that one can get an esim on a prepaid basis, but one has to visit a movistar shop. In the shop they will create the QR code for you.

In short, a prepaid movistar esim is not available online.

Hey, my wife and I have been living in Nazare the past year and are looking to move to Lisbon area (renting for now). We were excited to find a place in Costa da Caparica to be near the beach, young and international people, and short commute into Lisbon.

We were about to confirm a year-long apt we liked, until we learned about the ongoing water shortage crisis that's been affecting that whole area for a couple weeks now... Some people we know are even planning to move elsewhere because of it.

Curious if anyone is living down there currently, whether you find it's still an area worth moving to, and any other insights into the situation! Thanks!
Anyone in Panamรก City right now?

Iโ€™m settling there trying to make friends,

Any recommendations to find activities / workshops things like that are welcomed
Will be in Cancun for a week in September. There are some hostels in the HotelZone, are those good for a software dev remote work (weekdays only)? Do they provide lockers for bags?
Iโ€™m going in 2 weeks to do it. If the company works well, Iโ€™ll let you know
I just got mow near Hua hin. I donโ€™t speak any Thai. They have an option to do the exam in English. Almost no one speak proper English there but managed to do it.
You need, residence address certificate ask your landlord, itโ€™s expires so first get the driving licence appointment and after the certificate.
Medical certificate,
Passport, you need to study just do the online tests, check in the official website you have all needed info there
Does anyone with a DTV visa are doing the tax declaration after having 6months in Thailand and working remotely?
Hi everyone, I will be working from Coventry this summer. As it will be my first time there, I am looking for WhatsApp group where people share activities or meetups. Do you know any? Feel free to send me a message so I donโ€™t miss the information, thanks!
Hi, the DTV visa is an exciting topic, does anyone of you have it and if so, where did you get it done?
Hosting a small, hands on Claude Code/Cowork workshop tomorrow in budapest - shoot me a message if youโ€™re interested in joining
Been to Hanoi for the DTV in 2025. Pretty fast and easy. Next to the usual documents, I just needed a proof of doctors appointment (Dentist in Chiang Mai) to get the visa. But canโ€™t guarantee that the process is still that easy. Regulations were chaotic back in the days. Might be different today.
What did you need the doctor's appointment for?
You either do Muay Thai, a Cooking School, use your business documents OR (the easiest solution IMO) make a doctors appointment to get the visa. But again: I donโ€™t know if the government changed the regulations. You should research it again.
are we talking about non-freelance DTV?
My question aimed at the Freelance DTV off.
I have freelance dtv, I send all the docs myself itโ€™s super easy and the information is on the official government page https://www.thaievisa.go.th/
I used the soft power option.
very interesting
hey i am very new to this
can anyone can guide me how to do work remotly
i am from india

Unhelpful and incorrect
What kind of reply is this
I have so many questions
Depends on the season IMO but south of Spain on the coast somewhere would be my pick generally
It was joke. Rephrasing - traveling Europe counts and travelling to one country.

for payment? for PIX you don't need, there's an app called peanut, you dont need CPF to pay for things in PIX
Is it a less dangerous time to be nomadding in Lebanon ๐Ÿ˜…

I thought pix required cpf
Is this app peanut using crypto under the hood?
It normally does
Yes! USDC but not needed, I use credit card > Pix
used in Buenos Aires to pay w/ Mercado Pago
Hmmmmm

Hi,
Anyone wants too meet up in Medellรญn?
Unfortunately, it's not quite as simple as described. I have already tried to get the DTV visa in Germany, and it failed because I could not prove a residence. I have heard that it is significantly easier in Vietnam. Therefore, I am asking for experience reports. If you have done this yourself, where did you apply for it? And where were you located at the time of the application?
austin in #bali 2d
In Canggu now headed to Nusa L tom
Last week I met a couple (US and Aus citizens) who were travelling to Laos to try applying from there since their applications in Vietnam failed so I wouldnโ€™t count on Vietnam being the answer. For the best chance of being accepted I would apply from your home country. For me the process was easy and I had the visa in 2 weeks (UK)
I did it in Vietnam and was fine. Didnโ€™t have to prove any residence there. Supposedly Hanoi are more relaxed than Ho Chi Min but who knows
just have to prove you are in Vietnam at the time (northern vietnam if you wanna use Hanoi office) - all I did was send my boarding pass for flight arriving in Hanoi, although I was in Danang by time I applied
Nice one Cal, see you soon? ๐Ÿ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‰
Thanks for the info. How long has it been since you got your visa?
The thing is that the visa was rejected in my home country because I am no longer resident there. This contradicts the concept of a digital nomad, who is not supposed to be resident anywhere. Therefore, having a residence makes no sense, but that's just how it is.

She is in my network however I havent worked with her so cant really vouch for her
My company has a policy of - no office, fully remote workforce. I show up 9-5 PST online. They don't know where I am exactly and don't care.

That is one way - find a fully remote company, build trust, show up for office time.
Hey damn I missed out on this..how was it? Do you guys wanna meet up today?
I will watch England match
At vivus la Martina rooftop
Wanna come?
Same with me - I just needed to give them a booking ref from my hotel
Hey, I am in KL. Hit me up if you want to meet. Cheers
What a great username and pfp
Lmao that's irony. In general southern Vietnam has the reputation of being more relaxed to the point that northerners view it as lazy. The north has the reputation of letting themselves be overworked and being more rude
Do any of you use multiple types?
Anyone here went to the network school in malaysia?
I will try it out and let you know the result.
Think its the thais working in embassy who determine it

H, we're you able to get these UAE accounts without visiting the UAE? I need one of these too
alexsun in #legal 17h
Wio you can do 100% online and outside of the country.
For Traditional local bank account you need to visit the branch.

Oh I see, thanks for that. I'd take a look at WIO

Hey you guys Iโ€™m a nomad but need to organize a trip with my daughter over new year, so different from my usual. A couple of questions: is it ok for me to rent a car and drive from hurghada to Luxor on my own? Websites suggest to hire a driver but I normally drive on my own. Is it dangerous or problems with police ? Will I get stopped? If I want a good hotel by the water but not a mega all inclusive, in a part of town that is pretty but also real not tourist trapโ€ฆ. Where should I stay?
Hi
I am also in Seoul until 6th August
Will do my best to visit meet-up and also up for a coffee
Hi thanks for this but seems I need to be on UAE work visa ๐Ÿ˜…
I applied online from Spain, no need to go to any office. I had all the needed documents so I didnโ€™t have any issues
Btw, how are you guys doing the tax declaration in Thailand after having 6 months there with DTV visa?
I read that working remotely from there even if the company is abroad, it counts as Thai income
Where did you read this?
I canโ€™t find the exact website.
But I have found and article related to it

https://www.dtvvisathai.com/blog/thailand-dtv-visa-tax-implications-2025
Thatโ€™s why you exit after 6 months
itโ€™s 180 days per year even if you leave and come back on the same year. If you leave at 6 months and come back the next year then itโ€™s ok
