I lived in Kotor for a few weeks in 2023 and didn't have any of these issues with food. On the contrary, I was pleasantly impressed with the high protein low sugar yogurt options, which I can't say of many places

Do you consider yourself a foodie? What sort of food do you eat on a day to day basis. Unfortunately the truth here is more about your preferences. Anyone who really enjoys good will really hate Montenegro for the reasons I stated. There is a reason you've never seen a "Montenegrin restaurant" anywhere outside Montenegro - because they have a crappy food culture which is basically "pickle the veg, salt the meat and pray we get through the winter"

I can attest to food being bland and this wasn't just my experience. It's like here's your choice of protein with no seasoning and here's a can of salt/pepper to make it pop, bon appetit 😁
