Hi everyone! Something new and fun coming up in Asunción next week - a private mini music festival, featuring 4 amazing live bands in an intimate venue, on a Saturday evening 🙌🎸

The basics:
😃 Normal hours! Doors open at 7pm, first band starts at 8pm, last band finishes at 12:30am, followed by a DJ for the afterparty
🎸 3x 45 minute sets, 1x 90 minute set
🎤 All songs in the English language
🤗 No assigned seats or tables, all joining in together, with a dance floor area at the front of a large stage
🍻 Bar selling a range of food, beers, mixers, and fernet; bottles of spirits are available at low prices for pre-purchase only

The bands performing are some of the absolute best cover bands in Asunción, paying tribute to legendary performers you know and love:

👲 The Beatles (Madera Noruega; 9pm)
💃 Roxette (Dangerous; 10pm)
👨🏻 Queen (Innuendo; 11pm, 90 min set)

The bands will be joining us for the party before and after their set on stage 🥳

The venue, Voudevil, is a purpose-built live music venue, one-of-a-kind in Asunción, and we’ll have it all to ourselves 🙌

Capacity is strictly limited and ticketed, for advance purchase only - $20 for the first 100 sold, and $27 after that. Bottles of spirits can only be bought at the same time as tickets. How is street safety in Asuncion compared to Buenos Aires and Florianópolis?

It's not perfect, but better than most other South American cities, including Buenos Aires and Florianopolis.
There are a few areas in Asuncion that you better avoid, as long as you do that you'll be fine.

💯 agree, I've never felt unsafe here anywhere in the city honestly... Especially in the core areas you'll probably spend your time.

Using basic common sense for travelers, also my wife has felt very comfortable getting around on her own as well

Just don't make the mistake of booking an Airbnb/Hotel that's right in the centro of the city... Over the past 5-8 years most businesses have moved away from the city center towards the eastern neighborhoods like Las Mercedes, Mariscal Lopez, Recoleta, Villa Morra, Santo Domingo, etc. Now there is no reason to stay in the city center anymore and the city center is also probably one of the riskier areas where you might not want to walk through the dark alleys alone at night.

I have some friends that live downtown and like it but I agree that most places mentioned above would be better.

is it possible to do unlimited visa runs in paraguay as a nomad?

I thought about temp residency but as its my first time I dont feel like spending thousands and comitting to a country that I dont know yet right away...

U can do the process yourself. We are talking about few hundred USD and the temp residency is pretty simple to get once you have the needed documents translated and apostolized.

Ok, Like how much aproximately if I do it myself? Yea I thought that too. But all the youtubers are saying its better to have it done by a lawyer or you must speak spanish... but maybe they just want to make money. Do you have any good resources to get more info?

Apparently Ueno dropped the max withdrawal limit from 10M to 2.5M per transaction 😔
I checked two locations already, the one in front of shopping villa morra and the matrix one on Santa Teresa, both are limited to 2.5M now

Because the staff told me it was 2.5 but when I did it, it worked.

Both, the screen on the ATM has a message at the top saying that the limit is 2.5M as well. When I manually entered any amount over 2.5M it also directly told me that this amount exceeds the limit. In total I've now tried 3 different Ueno ATMs and they all have the new limit already
