When I went a year ago I did data esim at the airport (forget the vendor but there were two counters side by side). This was Moscow but assume Piter is similar. Glad I did because my roaming esim didn't work for 24hrs...once my esim kicked in I mostly used that and didn't really bother with wifi and VPNs (I treat Russia like China, basically). Things may have changed in the past year but I would be shocked if there wasn't a desk at the airport. Lots of Chinese and Korean tourists visit...

LTR visa is such a joke. 80K passive income??? I dont want to be forced into buying a bunch of rental properties to generate that.
You can be a multi millionaire and still not qualify for the LTR because of their stupid rules. /facepalm

Even with the lower 40K passive - you need to invest 250K USD into thailand.

Compare that to the bronze elite visa for $20K USD.

If you get a 7% return in the market with that 250K instead - after 5 years you will make 100K.

Its far cheaper to buy the bronze elite every 5 years then to throw money away on LTR visa.
