Chiang Mai is very small and safe
Anywhere near old city and Nimman is 10-15 mins by scooter

So even if you take a condo with some privacy, you can socialise.

I stayed in a Badi room for 3 months in barcelona

Apartment decently renovated - kinda just looks like a Zara home catalog
Prices way higher than what a local would pay (typical for the <11 month rentals vs long term rentals)
It's a decent option if you can afford it and need a place

I ended up switching to a Muppy apartment afterwards and it was comparable quality and a bit cheaper

In my experience with these short/medium term rental companies in spain - the main issues arose from my roommates who were stretching their budget renting at those prices and thinking they were entitled to a higher quality/luxury

In the end they all charge higher prices than local rentals because the short term rentals are less regulated than long term and they can rent to outsiders who can bear the higher costs - as long as you take them for what they are then they're all good places to live - if you go in thinking "I'm paying (€1200-€2000)/mo, this company better bend over backwards for me and obey my every request" then you'll be disappointed

Driving in Vietnam is not for the faint of heart, you have to learn to become a fish so to speak. The speeds are much lower than Thailand and helmets are enforced though, scooter taxi is much safer
