Hungary has gotten much more expensive in recent years due to the war. I used to be able to go to the cafeteria in front of the pool in Leànyfalu and fill a plate full of delicious food for about 2 € 5 years ago. Price is up 10X these days. If you have a remote job where you make a decent Western salary, Hungary is still nice. But otherwise, it's not easy.

I've just came to Tbilisi, I'll be here for approximately 3 months. For next 5 days I'm living at Rustaveli, then following 3 months will be living a bit outside the city next to the embassy of France.

I'm looking for friends here both to cowork, do meditation together, do wim hof breathing, just go out for walks, go hiking, get a car and go outside the city, etc. I don't drink / smoke so not interested in bars as much, but might join a fun group.

Professionally I've been working remote for very early stage YC/a16z funded SF-based startups last few years building full stack and agents as a lead/cto, and working on my own app for making clips from podcasts.

I'm currently looking for a new job in SF and I plan to move and start living there for good this time.

I'm very curious to learn new things so I'll be glad to join you at your yoga / martial arts / climbing / whatever other crazy stuff you do classes. Maybe even sewing or pottery 😁

When I did my 30 day extension 2 years ago I had to go to the immigration office at IT Square Lak Si and pay ~1900THB. It can be quite busy with a 2-3hr wait, depending on what time you arrive.

It depends on your nationality. mostly it's a Good thing if you apply for the 60-day visa before entering Thailand

Most Europeans and Westerners don't need to apply in advance, as they can enter under the visa exemption scheme, 60 days/ 30 days, with the possibility of extending for another 30 days.

My suggestion is to apply for a 60-day visa beforehand if you're planning to stay longer. It will save you the hassle and stress of having to visit immigration to extend your stay later.

EU here. Yeah agreed way easier to apply for the 60 day online. I just entered on the 30 day, will leave for a week to Taiwan (for a holiday) and will then apply for the 60 day when I’m there to re-enter. Hope that works

An Thuong used be the go-to for nomads but now it’s becoming overrun with tourists and people who must have been kicked out of Thailand or Bali. Better to look just north or south of there, 2-3 blocks off the beach (or closer if you’re farther away from An Thuong)

If you want to book in advance, I recommend looking at Agoda, then Booking. If you’re gong to stay longer than a month, you can find better deals walking around or via Facebook groups

The longer you stay the more it’s worth walking around or trying the groups. There are several FB groups where you can ask about accommodations - just search for Da Nang - but read some recent posts before you post to get a feel for it and how to ask
